    Joined Conservative campaigners across Chelsea and Fulham

    to campaign for a Conservative victory in this Thursday’s

    London Mayor contest.

     Attended Cabinet at Number 10, Downing Street.

    Opened the new MetroBank  branch on the King’s Road,

    Chelsea. For more, see below.

    Spoken at CityUK Chairman's Dinner in central London.

    Met residents of Novello Street, Fulham, to discuss the future

    of the Parsons Green depot site.Welcomed Year 6 from Parsons Green Prep School  and a

    group from the London Oratory School  to the Houses of 

    Parliament.

    Met H.E. Sylvie Bermann, French Ambassador  to the UK, for 

    talks, including the large French ex-pat community in Chelsea

    & Fulham.

    Was guest speaker at the annual lunch of the Association of 

    Foreign Banks, held at Mansion House.

     Attended and addressed a  Young Enterprise  reception at

    Number 11, Downing Street.

    Was guest speaker at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerceoutreach event, Norwich.

    Welcomed the Ontario Finance Minister , Hon. Charles de

    Souza, for talks at the Treasury.

    Was guest speaker at the Crewe and Nantwich

    Conservatives, held in central London.

    Was guest speaker at two events of the Norwich

    Conservatives, in Norwich.

    Back Zac's Action Plan for Greater London 

    Over the next four years, if elected as Mayor, Zac Goldsmith willwork with the Government to: Start fixing London’s housing crisis by: 

    Doubling home building to 50,000 a year by 2020 and ensuring

    development is in keeping with the local area

    Giving Londoners the first chance to buy new homes built in

    London

    Ensuring a significant proportion of all new homes are only for 

    rent and not for sale

     Improve the capacity and reliability of London’s transport systemby:

     

    Ensuring the Night Tube goes ahead, starting Crossrail 2, and

    growing the rail network

    Bringing suburban rail services under the Mayor’s control to

    increase and improve the service

    Protecting the Freedom Pass

     Improve London’s living environment by: 

    Protecting the green belt from development

    Tackling air pollution with tougher rules on HGVs, and

    encouraging greener vehicles and safer cycling

    Creating more green spaces and cleaning up local parks so

    they are safe to visit and enjoy

     Make London’s streets safer by: 

    Protecting neighbourhood police teams and keeping them on

    the street

    Tackling the root causes of crime in local communities

    Putting more police on public transport at night

     All paid for without increasing Mayoral council tax.

    Greg Hands opens new Metro Bank branch

    on the King's Road

     Greg Hands has opened the new Metro Bank branch on the King’sRoad, Chelsea.

     On Friday, 15 April, Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham,Greg Hands, took part in the Grand Opening celebrations of the newMetro Bank branch at 234 King’s Road, Chelsea, SW3 5UA. This isthe second branch in Greg’s constituency – he visited the FulhamBroadway branch last year – and it is the forty-first branch in total.Greg was pleased to see that Shemar, whom he met on his last visit,is now working at the new branch.  As a community bank, Metro Bank prides itself on being passionateabout creating local jobs. This new branch on the King’s Road hasemployed about 25 local residents, with the potential to employanother 50. The team is led by Carl Maw, Store Manager, and Adam

    Greg Hands welcomes crime falling to a

    new low Member of Parliament for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg Hands, haswelcomed the announcement that crime has fallen by over a quarter (32 per cent) since 2010, to its lowest ever level, according to theindependent Crime Survey for England and Wales. Commenting on the announcement, Greg Hands said: "These figures

    show the strength of this Government’s record in bringing crime downto its lowest ever level. "We have to continue to build on this success by electing a Mayor whowill work with the Government to deliver even more visible policing and an even better use of police resources. "The Metropolitan Police recorded that crime has fallen by ten per cent, which is good news for London and is helping to make our community a safer place in which to live, work, and raise a family."
