Green norms for SEZs to be announced soon

• Speaking at the conference on Green Homes and Green SEZs organised by

Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) in Chennai, Export Promotion

Council director general L.B. Singhal said: "The union government will

shortly notify the green SEZ guidelines, standards and rating system to

make all SEZs environment friendly."

He said SEZs are coming up in over two lakh hectares and huge

industrial/commercial and social infrastructure is being built across the

country providing an opportunity for green technologies, products and

services.

Nirma to delist shares from BSE and NSE

• Nirma Ltd board has decided to delist shares of the company from the

Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange .

• The company will acquire 3.63 crore of its shares not held by promoters, at

an offer price of Rs 235 each, the company said in a statement.

NCDEX preferential issue likely by Oct-end

• The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) is likely to float a preferential issue by October-end to raise its paid-up equity capital by Rs 12.50 crore to Rs 50 crore

• NCDEX had a net worth of Rs 69 crore and paid-up equity of Rs 30 crore. The exchange had come out with a rights issue of Rs 110 per share to increase its net worth last year, Anant Kumar said.
