Thanksgiving Service
The theme for this year’s Thanksgiving service was “God is a big God”.
It was chosen in acknowledgment that God has big plans for each of us, and throughout the evening we recognised students who have worked hard to step into the plans that God has for them.
The evening also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the service of Richard and Lyn Hart who are retiring at the end of this year. They have taught at the College for over three decades, and have had an immeasurable impact on many students over the years.
We hope that you enjoyed the evening and thank all those who came to support, encourage and celebrate the achievements of students and to celebrate the many blessings that the Lord has bestowed on the College again this year.

Diary Dates-
It can sometimes feel a little tricky to get into the spirit of Christmas when there is just so much to do at this time of year.
As well as Christmas parties, end of year break ups, farewells and graduations, we try to fi t in our Christmas shopping in overcrowded shopping centres, often with tired kids in tow! Living in Darwin can also mean packing up houses for an interstate Christmas.
It’s not without trying. We try to get into the spirit of Christmas by putting up the Christmas tree, attending the Carols by Candlelight, wearing tinsel in our hair and organising Christmas art and craft for the children.
But with all the hustle and bustle at this time of year, I was really challenged this week during our Christmas Carol practice. Just before the children stood to sing Joy to the World, Sonya reminded them that this was our big celebration point! And for that moment, that thought really struck a chord. It is a busy time of the year. It is exceptionally hot this year. But it is also a time of celebration. Regardless of how busy things are or how dreadful the weather is, this time of year is a time to celebrate! Not an external celebration of wearing tinsel and putting up Christmas trees, but a celebration that emerges from the heart. A joy that comes from recognising the beauty of the gift of Christmas. The gift for all people. The gift that continues to give every moment of every day. The gift that wraps humankind in love and peace. The gift that reconciles us with God. That gift is Jesus. And He gives us every reason to celebrate!
