The next day we packed up and boarded our bus to go to Heathrow. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II was kind enough to pass in fron t of our buses as she headed to Windsor for the weekend. The orchestra most appreciated Her Ma- jesty's effort to bid us fare- well. We arrived many hours later at Mirabel where we wearily bused back to Lis- gar and were warmly wel- comed by our families with great ent husiasm, despite the late hour . On behalf of the orches- tra, we would like to thank the staff that accompanied us, Mr. & Mrs. OJ. Macdo- na ld, Mr. & Mrs. 13. Laughton, Mr. & Mrs. O. Arrand, Mr. & Mrs. W. Fraser, and most of all our thank s to our fabulous and inspirational conductor, Mrs. T. Bradley. We visited York and some of us attended a traditional High Anglican Service at Yorkminster Abbey. After spending the night in York we went off to Chester where we viewed some Ro- man ru ins and viewed the city from the high walls that surround it. The next day we were off to Bath to see the incredibly pre- served Roman baths. We then continued on to Salis- bury to spend the night. The followin g day brou ght tours of Stonehenge, Wind- sor and we arrived at our final des tination, London. From our hotel in down- town London, we spent our day-off doing last minute sightseeing. We stopped at Harrod 's, Picaddily Circus, St. James ' Park, Trafalgar Square and found our way around on the under- ground. That evening Can- ada House, the Canadian High Commission in Brit- ain, hosted a recept ion for the orchestra and we later attended a performance of Fund for $10 per member- ship plu s any don ation . O ur rugby team s had considerablesuccess last fall. The Senior team

fin ished first in the sched u le, defea tingevery team except St . Pa ts . Howeverour team was beaten in the semi-finalsby Tech after s ix ty thrilling m inutes offoot ba ll.

The ski team th is w in ter proved to beone of the best eve r seen at Lisga r.They caf tured the co ve ted Aul t Tro­phynnc p laced well in the cr oss­co un try race. Ma ny of our ski er s haveproved themselves to be in cla ss A,an d have rep resen ted ski clubs o f theci ty in many meets.

Interform baske tba ll took a new lea seon life and has shown what can be ac­co m plished when the re is proper or­ganiza tio n. Crests will be award ed tothe w inn ing teams.

chives has recently come into po­sess ion of several class pins and afew class rings which date back tothe 1920's and 1930's. Whel~ thesetreasures we re pu t on disp lay re­cently in our new archival show­case in the main hall, they genera t­ed a lot of in terest from both staffand students.
