Nowadays,   there   are  no   isolated  countries.   Wildlife,   livestock,  people   and   diseases   do   not  respect   boundaries.   People   can  flying  from  one  country  to  another  countries  in  a  few  hours.  Not  only  people   but   also   wildlife   and  l ivestock.   The   diseases   wil l  following  its.

Countries  of   the  world  are   inter-‐dependent.  There  is  happen  ‘buBerfly  effect’  in  the  world.  ‘BuBerfly  effect’  is  what  happens  in  one  country  has  impacts  fas  beyond    its  borders.

3. Limited  number  of  leaders  in  the  region  who  can  work  the  inter-‐diciplines,  cross-‐sectoral,  and  internaQonal  forums  to  resolve  One  Health  problems

One   health   approach   had   been  implemented   by   the   government   in  2005   through   the   establishment   of  Indonesia   NaQonal   CommiBee   for  Av i an   I nfluenza   Con t ro l   and  Pandemic   Influenza   Preparedness  which   had   coordinated   acQviQes   in  combaQng,  control  and  prevenQon  of  avian  influenza  in  Indonesia.

As   in   2012,   One   Health   will   be  promoted  as  one  of   naQonal  health  agenda.   Faculty   of   Public   Health  Universitas   Indonesia   in   2011   will  iniQate   One   Health   into   some  programs   related   to   Environmental  Health.   Indonesia  is  a  country   with  a  very  diverse  mix  of  residents  and  has  total   populaQons   of   around   200  mil l ion   people   and   105   state  univers iQes   spread   across   33  provinces.   Currently,   between   105  s t a t e   u n i v e r s i 2 e s   t h a t   a r e  categorized  as  research  universiQes  is  sQll   very   limited.   To   improve   the  quality   and   quanQty   of   produced

research,   Indonesia   needs   for   the  establishment   of   the   internaQonal  prospecQve  study,  which  will  be  able  to  make  the  publicaQon  of   research  arQcles  to  internaQonal  journals.

For   that,   the   establishment   of  prospecQve   researchers   f rom  I n d o n e s i a ,   e s p e c i a l l y   f r om  Universitas  Indonesia   as   one   of   the  research   universiQes   in   Indonesia,  has  been   an   increased   incidence  of  infecQous  diseases  in  the  world.  One  cause   is   no   longer   the   case   for  humans   and   animals   in   traveling  between  regions.   An  effort  needs  to  be   done   so   that   there   is  a  balance  b e t w e e n   h u m a n -‐ a n i m a l -‐environment.  There   is  a  new  science  that   can   be   learned   about   human-‐animal-‐environment,   which   is   one  health.   In  efforts  to  establish  a  one-‐health   science   it   needs   to   be   an  educaQon.   To   support   educaQon  curriculum  needs  to  be  made  within  the  scope  of  a  one-‐health.  Indonesia  establishes   a  plan   to   generate   One  Health  concept.
