Devotion Devotion is a commitment to something we care about
deeply. It is a passionate focus on our life’s purpose. It is
wholehearted service to an endeavor that we love. Devotion
to those we love is a promise kept in daily ways we care for
one another always. Discernment is the first step in discovering
what is a worthy of our devotion. What is my “yes”? What calls
to me so strongly that I cannot resist, knowing that is truly mine
to do? When we are devoted, we give all we have and all
that we are. Devotion is our true wealth.

Waldorf 100
A postcard exchange project
Waldorf100, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the
Waldorf global educational impulse, connects more
than 1,100 Steiner/Waldorf schools around the world.
Waldorf100 is celebrating this festive occasion, by
sending every school pre-addressed blank postcards
for students to design. The central office has
received a handful of these post cards from many
schools worldwide. We look forward to sending the
ones our Golden Valley students have and will
create.

Festival Renewal Meeting
Recap Our Festival Renewal Committee Meeting, hosted by Golden Valley
Kindergarten faculty, was held on the evening of October 23 at the
Orchard MP room. Approximately 35 people attended to share
their ideas for community wide festivals at Golden Valley, which will
be led by the kindergarten faculty. While the kindergarten
leadership of the festivals will remain collaborative, each school will
now have their own festival committee.
I encourage all of you to join the newly formed River Festival
Committee at their first meeting which will be held Wednesday
January 24 1:00 to 2:30 pm. At this meeting, we will reveal the new
festivals that both schools will slowly build upon beginning in the
2018-2019 school year. Click here for minutes from the meeting for
those unable to attend.
Responses and additional festival ideas can be emailed to the
River Festival Committee email at: [email protected]

Week of Giving
Nov 28-Dec 1st We are excited to announce that November 28th kicks off our
exciting annual program: “Week of Giving.”
As many of you may know, Tuesday the 28th is the nationally
celebrated “Giving Tuesday.” This special day is designed to support
and shed light on all the great charities in our communities. During
this season of gratitude, it's important to remember what is truly
important and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating that theme
during our “Week of Giving.” READ MORE…
