“Bits and Pieces of Info to Make Life on the Ranch Easier to Manage”  What’s Happening Around Town Time flies so quickly some weeks, but I’m ex- cited that we are already approaching the mid- dle of February! During our first full week of  this month, the students brought in many pen- nies and coins, but Mrs. Nammany’s class is in  the lead in our coin drive! We still have a cou- ple weeks to go, so continue to send in any change you are willing to share with others who need help providing Christian education for  their children! This week we had the opportunity to embark on a trip to Mexico and spent time learning about the country! In Science, we focused on different modes of transportation, and we en-  joyed discussing how we could travel to differ- ent countries on our North American continent.  We continue to make excellent progress in read- ing and writing, and we began a class book this week about the “one anothers” of Scripture.  The book contains over 13 commands from God’s  Word about how to treat one another, and the students illustrated how to apply some of the  verses in our every day lives! I hope to begin look- ing at each of the “one another” verses and award some Barnabas badges for those who are encouragers like Barnabas, whom we studied about this week in chapel! I pray that you are encouraged by growth you see in your son or daughter, and I trust God will continue to shape each of us as we wait for all  the many plans He has for us to unfold in our lives! May God encourage you with the truth  that He pours out His unfailing love on us each day (Psalm 42:8)! Happy Valentine’s Day!  Answers to Questions on the Ranch  A: Yes, we will be doing a Valentine exchange when we have our party on Tuesday. If you would like your son or daughter to have prac-  tice writing “to” and “from” as well as students’ names on cards, I have included a list of our 16 friends below. We look forward to our celebra-  tion on Tuesday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.! -A.J., Ashlyn, Kayla, Caleb, Avah, Brody,  Rebecca, Josiah, Beata, Henry, Tyler, Anastasia, Emily, Aidan, Colton, and Kaci  A: Please continue to read each night! Stu- dents who spend just five to ten minutes each night reading the material from reading circles  tend to make much more progress toward be- coming a fluent reader! If you have gotten out of the habit, please consider making it a priority again this week! The students will soon be bringing home a joke book, which we will put  together as a class. The students will copy new  jokes into their books each week and will bring home their books to practice reading or “telling”  the joke to several members of t he family. My students last year really enjoyed copying the  jokes and illustrating them, and the practice “telling” the joke at home really helped build flu- ency. More information will come home soon!

(Luke 6:12-16; John 2:1-11 - First miracle)

Jesus performed his first miracle, which is an act

only God can do. He did this miracle to prove He

is God. Jesus performed his first miracle at a

wedding feast in Cana by turning water into wine,

which was something they drank at that time like

we drink pop or coffee today. Mary told Jesus

there was no wine left, and then Jesus instructs

the servants to do exactly as he says to do. The

people enjoyed the new wine, and Jesus proved

himself to be the Man Who changes things. He

can bring tremendous change to our lives too!
