GOING THE EXTRA MILE TOBE GOOD IN OFSTED!

We are delighted to be able toannounce that we have now beenofficially judged as Good by Ofsted.This is an absolutely amazingachievement for the whole school andcommunity. Congratulations toeverybody and thank you for yourcontinued support. Here are some ofthe lovely things that Ofsted said about

us in their report:

The school is ahappy andimproving school where pupilsfrom different backgrounds get onwell together.

The school is a harmoniousone.Pupils are courteous andhelpful.

Pupils help one another and thewhole school is very inclusive anda place where every pupil reallydoes matter.

One parent said, The school feelslike a family.

Pupils particularly enjoy lessonswhere there are independentactivities and learning is fun.

Classrooms are welcoming withstimulating displays. Informationand communication technology areused particularly well.

Pupils make good progress asthey move through the school.

The inspectors especially praisedthe way reading was taught in theschool. One pupil said I learn

something everyday from readingbooks.

Pupils supported by the pupilpremium and those who are new toEnglish are very well guided by theschool. They make as good andsometimes better progress than theirclassmates.

We are very proud of school. This goodreport is the result of optimism,determination and thousands of hours of

hard work from children, staff and thecommunity. It represents the journey wehave come along, and how the school hasimproved over the last few years.

RED NOSE DAY

A big thank you to everyone who gotinvolved with Red Nose Day last week. Wecan now reveal that we raised a grand totalof 526.92! This is one of the biggestamounts we have ever raised for charitywell done everyone! Here are a fewpictures of how we celebrated the day.

YR4 RESTAURANT PROJECT

Many thanks to all the families andfriends who came to the Yr4Restaurant last week. Once again itwas a great success and we were allvery proud of the chefs, waiters,managers and organisers who helpedto make the day a great success. Wecannot wait until next year!

HOLLYWOOD BOWLCOMPETITION

Next week we will be sending out avery exciting colouring competitionto all children. Bring the picture backto school for a chance to win aHollywood Bowl party.

DECORATE AN EGGCOMPETITION

With Easter just around the corner, itis that time of year again when we

open up our eggciting Easter Eggcompetition. To take part in thecompetition, children need todecorate a hard-boiled Easter egg inthe most creative way they canthink.

Please bring all entries to school onThursday 28th March, ready for

judging. The winners will receive aspecial Easter prize!

EASTER HOLIDAYS

We break up for the Easter Holidayson Thursday 28th March. We will re-open on Monday 15th April 2013.Thursday 28th March will be a non-uniform day.
