Thanks for your support. Keep up the good work! The latest class attendance Yigures are: Year 2N: 99.78% Reception R: 98.19% Year 1I: 97.32% Year 5: 97% Year 4: 96.67% Year 3: 96.34% Year 1E: 96.21% Reception K: 94.38% Year 2A: 92.94% Year 6: 91.67% Safeguarding Safeguard - to protect from harm or damage with an appropriate measure As the nights are drawing in and the weather is on the turn there is an Autumnal feel in the air and you might feel tempted to jump in the car to come to school instead of breathing in that fresh Autumnal air! Just a reminder that children should not be dropped off outside the school, the zig zag lines indicate the full length of the no stopping or dropping zone. As you know we are using the car park as an entrance/exit at this time. Please do enter and leave the site safely, it can get really busy at peak times, especially with buggies, bikes and scooters coming in alongside the pedestrians so patience and cooperation is really appreciated and will help to avoid any accidents! Don’t forget children must be with an adult until they are with their class teacher at 8.55am, unless they have written permission to walk to and from school by themselves (Y5 and Y6). Thanks for your ongoing support. PTA AGM - Friday 11th October, 9am Ashmead PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) needs you! We are looking for new active members of the PTA and we’d love as many of you as possible to come along to our AGM (Annual General Meeting) to Yind out more and perhaps volunteer your time or ideas. The PTA is a charity which exists to raise money for the school and to bring the parents, carers, teaching staff and the community together. Its main focus is fundraising for the school through a series of events throughout the school year. The committee is made up of the Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Class Rep Co-ordinator. There is more information about each role on Ashmead website. We look forward to seeing lots of you here on Friday 11th October at 9am. Parent-Teacher Meetings We will be trialling a new electronic system for booking slots for the upcoming Parent-Teacher Meetings on 15th and 17th October. Please make sure we have your up to date contact details so you can receive more information via Parentmail and text.
