things that I hadn't known
before.
Kate Turner-Ricketts
We were blown away by some of
the stuff the kids had done. Some
of the technical stuff and the
models they presented were really
amazing. One thing that came
across was how much the Kids
enjoyed it, and how proud they
were when they presented their
topics. I have to take my hat off to
every one of them, it was a job
very well executed.Michelle Newth

When the students of Grade 4
completed their Storytelling unit
recently, some of them
volunteered to be risk-takers and
tell their traditional story to a new
audience.
All overcame their nerves and
demonstrated their confidence
and abilities as communicators.Well done to Alastair, who
braved the entire school
assembly, Lena who ventured

They were clearly passionateabout their chosen topics (e.g.
ood factories, animal based
medicines and global warming)
and were eager to share their
acquired knowledge with the
parents and teachers.

I just wanted to say that I
hought the standard of work in
he exhibition was really
mpressive. The intelligent,
entertaining and interesting
approach the class had to their
chosen subjects was admirable, but above all great fun.I really
enjoyed listening to what they
had learned and found out many
outside the school and went to
the local Kinderland child care
centre, Saarthak and Joe who
told to Grade 3 and Annika
and Intira who entertained
Grades 1 and 2 respectfully.

Mr LakeMr LakeMr LakeMr LakeThe Grade 3s have started their
new Unit of Inquiry on technology
and space. They have been
gaining an interest in the topic by
developing a wordle (see
below) on their space words.
Bonnie Paul (Ilenas Mum) who
used to work as a nurse for
NASA, came in and gave a
speech about some of the space
missions the space shuttle has
done. It was timely as we havejust had the last flight of the
space shuttle Endeavour.
