Protect Your Seed
“Guard, through the HolySpirit who dwells in us, thetreasure which has been en-trusted to you.”
—2 Timothy 1:14, NAS
Everything a pregnant woman takesinto her body goes directly into herbaby. If she smokes, drinks or takesdrugs, she may harm or even aborther unborn child. Everything thatcomes in through your eyes, yourears, and your mind goes into yourspiritual womb. If you take in doubtand unbelief, you will contaminatethe miracle growing in your spirit.
Some people abort the miracle Godhas for them because they are full ofdoubt. They let go of God's promiseand lose sight of their miracle.

Before raising Jairus' daughterfrom the dead, Jesus ordered allunbelievers to leave (Luke 8:54).
If you are incubating a miracle, shun doubt and unbelief; feedyour spirit with the things of God,allowing the Holy Spirit to con-duct regular check-ups of yourspiritual condition. Guard yourmiracle-.-.-.-it is His gift to you.
Lord Jesus, reveal to me theunhealthy thingsI have been putting into myspiritual womb.Instead of partaking of some-thing harmfulto my miracle, I will feast todayon Your Word. Amen.

‘Mum, I Can’t Find Baby Jesus’
Story from The War Cry December
1983.
“Mum, I can’t find baby Jesus”,
my six-year-old called to me from the
living room. “Everything else is
here, but Jesus is missing”. I left the
kitchen where Christmas baking was
under way to assist my two younger
children in their plight.
“Did you have Him before? I
questioned, unconsciously giving
personage to the ceramic figurine of
the baby Jesus in the manger.
“Yes, He was here just a minute
ago, but now He’s missing”. It was
the responsibility of the children to
set up the nativity scene each year,
and it was this task in which they
were happily engaged when they
called for my assistance.
A short search revealed the figure
under a piece of discarded tissue
paper on the floor. It was put in its
proper place, and as I left to continue
the baking, my son added, “It just
isn’t right without Jesus there”.
If you only knew how right you
are, I thought as I resumed my duties
in the kitchen. I mentally recounted
the incident later.
So often we are caught up in the
process of life and living and don’t
really give much thought as to
whether or not Jesus has any place in
our life.
We work, we raise our families, we
serve our communities, we give to
our favourite charities, but sooner or
later we come to the realisation that
something is missing. We provide
for our physical and mental well-
being, neglecting the fact that man is
a trinity – body, mind and soul –
and too often no provision is
made for the spiritual.
Thus, life is empty, void,
meaningless.
It was the apostle John who in
his first letter (Ch 5:11-12)
explained why. He declared,
“God hath given to us eternal life
and this life is in His Son. He that
hath not the Son of God hath not
life”.
Life can only be lived to its
fullest and its highest potential
with Christ in His proper place
as Lord of our life. “It just isn’t
right without Jesus there”.
Our sincere thanks to themembers and friends of the
Floreat Corps for their prayerfulsupport in 2009. Specialthanks to our leaders, RyanFoo and Joanne McCall who
often do many things behindthe scenes. We are thankfulfor you.
Ways to Bless Your
Pastor
Tamara Lowe
We can't expect our pastors and
their families to be perfect. We
have to love them—flaws and
all—just as Christ loves us. In
honor of pastor's appreciation
month, here are some practical
ways to bless your pastor.
Consistently pray for your pastor.
Make it a regular discipline in
your prayer time. Don’t just pray,
“God bless pastor”; do spiritual
warfare! Bind principalities and
powers that would seek to destroy
his marriage and children.
Implore the Spirit of God to
move mightily in their lives.
Station mighty angels of God
around their home and children to
push back the forces of darkness
that try to attack them. Ask the
Holy Spirit to give you specific
guidance so that you can pray
effectively. Pray also for associate
ministers, missionaries and other
Christian leaders that you support.
Give the pastor and his family
time together. Encourage them to
take family vacations and geta-
ways. Pastors live their lives in a
fishbowl. They need some private
times with their spouse and chil-
dren.
Give them a gift certificate to a
nice restaurant, and offer to baby-
sit their children. Encourage others
in the congregation to do the same.
If someone in the congregation has
a vacation home, suggest that it
would be a blessing to let the
pastor’s family use it for a week.
Buy them tickets to a sports event,
concert or circus. Create opportuni-
ties for them to be together.
Assure the pastor and his family
members that they are loved and
accepted. Tell them plainly that no
one expects them to be perfect. Let
them know that the congregation is
committed to them and that it’s OK
to be vulnerable. Many times pas-
tors don’t realize that when they
share their weaknesses it encour-
ages the congregation to also be
open with their faults.
