St John’s & St Peter’sCE Academy

EYFSWe have had a lovely week this week. The children have had lots of fun doing an Easter egg hunt, taking part in our church service and our Celebration Assembly and enjoying lots of Easter craft. When they come back the children will be meeting their new teacher Mrs Bury. Their new topics will be Growing and Planting, Motivation and they will be reading lots of books on these topics.

KS1We hope you enjoy a relaxing 2 weeks at home, but remember to keep practising those times tables, phonics skills and home reading. Thank you to all the parents who came to our parent’s evening drop in. It was lovely to speak with you all.

Y2 SATS Week: Beginning 15th May.

Reminder: Home readers should be returned to school on Thursdays and should be read for 5-10 minutes each day. If your child’s book is missing please pay £3 to office so we can give him/her a new book took take home.

LKS2The children have enjoyed a wonderful week learning about Easter and taking part in fun activities including an Easter poetry competition. The standard was very high and it was extremely difficult to choose a winner from each phase. Well done to all the children across the school.

UKS2This week we have been preparing for our school Easter Service at the church. UKS2 have been learning and performing two spoken words telling the Easter story from different perspectives.

Year 6 children will be going home today with a resource pack and a letter about SATS – please have a read and have a look at the preparation and suggestions for over the Easter Holiday.
