Car Parking
Works to create additional car parking spaces in the Leisure Centre car park and along the side of our
Sports hall will commence on Tuesday 26th June and are expected to last for 10 days. There will be
traffic lights in place for one way movement of traffic from the Community Centre to the Leisure
Centre. To avoid congestion and delays we ask that you do not use these car parks to drop off and pick
up your children but find alternatives during this period.

HOT WEATHER
You may have seen the reports last week predicting that this summer could be one of the hottest on
record. Next week the temperatures are set to rise, and predictions suggest that temperatures will reach
over 25 degrees every day next week.
Please could you ensure that your child has a water bottle – we have drinking fountains in school and will
be encouraging students to keep hydrated at all times.
Students should wear their normal school uniform to school and if temperatures do rise they will be
encouraged to remove blazers, jumpers and ties.

Year 7 Presentation Evening
The KS3 Presentation evening was on Thursday 14th June. The evening started with a wonderful
performance by The Cox Green School Chamber choir, followed by a welcome speech by Headteacher,
Ms Walsh and then the students were presented their awards by the Learning Leaders for each subject.
Three students, Dominic Lyons, Megan McDonnell and Holly Chinnery, presented their reviews of the
Year. Congratulations to all students who received an award and well done to the students who
presented.
