On the back of his desk was a small box stuffed to the brim with slips of paper. They were I - O - U’s. Friends had made written promises to pay back money they had borrowed from him. After Louis’ death the following instruction was found in his will: “Destroy the box when I die.” That’s mercy. That’s what the Oxford Dictionary defines as compassion shown to offenders in one’s power . When Jesus died on the cross he cancelled our debts. REVEREND NATHANIEL BRAZIL’S ORDINATION TO PRIESTHOOD

Nathaniel Brazil was ordained a deacon in September last year. On Saturday May 16, 11:00am, he will be ordained a priest at Saint Peter Chanel. He will celebrate his Thanksgiving Mass the following day at Sacred Heart, Sunday 9:30am. Please mark your diaries. More details and preparation to follow.

Our Parish Mass on Tuesday 14th April is at 2pm, and includes the Anointing of the Sick and Elderly. Grateful thanks to all who assisted in any way with the celebration of the Easter Triduum. With their Easter Baptism, Isabel Rose Noiseux and Richard Benjamin Brangwin were welcomed into our faith community. April 16 is the Feast Day of St Bernadette Soubirous. Every Friday the prayers before the Blessed Sacrament are held from 9am to 10am. SUNDAY ROSTERS: These are now available for collection in the Church porch. PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES: Commencing 5th April, for 6 months to September 2015, will be available for collection.
