I would like to congratulate all the award winners and all our students that have made such
wonderful progress during the year.
Presentation Day is also a time to farewell our Year 12 students. We would like to wish all our
graduates all the very best for their future and we feel very privileged to have been a part of
their educational journeys. We would also like to wish our Year 12 families and friends all the best
for a fabulous future.
Staff Changes: There have been several new staff appointed to HRCS for the 2018 school year.
We would like to welcome Rachel Buckley, from Seaham Public School to our administration team.
Rachel is a very experienced school administration officer and we look forward to her joining our
team.
Vickie Fisher has also been appointed to our school in the role of school learning support officer.
Vickie joins us from Tenambit Public and is very experienced in supporting young people and we
look forward to working with her.
Jo Rathbone will be joining our team on a 12 month contract. Jo has worked in our school for
several years and we are pleased that she will once again be a part of our teaching team.
We will say “bye for now” to Michael. We would like to thank Mick for everything he has done and
wish him all the best for the future. We hope to work with Michael again in the future.
Rayleen will also be moving off a temporary contract and moving into a casual SLSO role. We would
like to thank Ray for all her hard work and dedication in supporting young people with complex
needs.
I would like to sincerely thank all our departing staff for their commitment and enthusiasm: they
have made tremendous contributions to our school community.

School reports: It has been a pleasure to read the end of year reports for students. The
comments illustrate the wonderful achievements of each student. Reports will be sent home by
Friday, and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have.
End of Year: Our 2017 school year will conclude next Friday 15 December. School resumes in
2018 for staff on Monday 29 January and students will resume on January 30.
I hope everyone has a great last week of school.
Kind Regards.
Tracey
