Immunisation Team Catch Up Clinic Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio and Meningitis ACWY

For students in Barnet Secondary Schools in Year 9 Who have missed their Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio and Meningitis ACWY vaccination at school. We are also able to vaccinate students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 (must be before their 18th birthday) if they have been unable to be vaccinated previously. Over the last few days, the media has been full of stories about Momo. The reports claim that an online character instructs children to carry out a series of dangerous tasks. Apparently this character is placed in videos popular with young children. While it may be a hoax the dan-gers of the internet are real. The constantly evolving world of the internet means there is a constant flow of new games and apps. It is important to discuss and moni-tor your child’s online activity.

P4 went on a wonderful adventure to London Zoo. We saw animals from all across the world. The stu-dents participated in a workshop based on the rainforests and learnt about the animals who live in that habitat. We also got to stroke a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach!

School Uniform Reminder In accordance with the wishes of the majority of our parents we do have a basic school uniform code that is compulsory for all stu-dents in Year 7 to Year 11.

The uniform consists of:

Plain black jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt White shirt, blouse or shirt, polo shirt (short or long sleeved) Plain black skirt or trousers. (No logos on clothing please) Please ensure students adhere to the school uniform code.

World Book Day is going to be on Thursday the 7th of March, Oak Lodge encourages all of our stu-dents to participate by dressing up as their favourite book charac-ter. Please avoid bringing in toy weapons into school. Students who dress up are asked to bring in £1 for Charity.
