Jazz by the SeaOur first sponsored event is Jazz by the Sea which is coming to Poole from Sunday, 11th June to Saturday, 18th June. This is a collaboration with Bournemouth, where it has been running since 2015, and we hope to be a part of its growing success. Check out the up-coming performances at www.jazzbytheseafestival.co.uk

WIFI is almost liveFusion have been busy installing WIFI points throughout town, which will allow your customers to connect anywhere in the central area, encouraging dwell time. The last testing is currently being undertaken so watch this space, we should be live in the next few weeks…

Christmas is coming! It seems a little early, but the plans are big, so we need plenty of time to arrange. A BID sub-group has fleshed out plans for the event and is now liaising with event coordinators to bring this to fruition. We hope the event will span a number of days, culminating in a big event on Sunday, 3rd December – so hold that date!

BID ManagerCarlie Palmer has now moved on to other ventures. She brought great enthusiasm and energy to the BID and we wish her well for the future. The role of BID Manager has been an evolving one, and the BID management team are actively working to recruit a replacement – so expect more news to follow shortly.

BID PremisesAfter protracted negotiations we have agreed terms and are now in solicitors’ hands to secure office premises for the BID which will be centrally-located in the High Street. Once it is up and running you will have somewhere to call in to discuss BID activities. In the meantime, we are always contactable via telephone on 01202 308000 or email at [email protected]

Save the Date - Annual ConferenceOur first annual conference is planned for Thursday, 7 September. We welcome all levy payers to feed back their thoughts on the first year and offer agenda items for discussion. The BID board of directors are all volunteers who also run businesses in the Town. We are keen to find more volunteers to join project sub-groups to build our BID community and embrace new ideas – so we look forward to seeing you at the conference!

BID LevyJust a quick reminder that this year’s levy bills are now out and to make your payment ASAP if you haven’t already. Many thanks.
