S I May lower Mutiny & Club’s 40th

The Davis Genealogy Club invites you to an historical talk followed by a celebra on of our club's 40th birthday with

cake and ice cream. Almost Mu ny on the Mayflower, by Roger Howland, will be presented Tuesday, September 17, 1:00-3:00 pm. Mu ny is not a word usually associated with the Mayflower in 1620. Yet in his book, Of Plymouth Planta on 1620 – 1647, William Bradford used the terms “discontented and mu nous speeches” to describe the condi ons aboard the Mayflower prior to their landing at Provincetown Harbor in 1620. Our speaker will bring historical context to the diversity on the famous boat that celebrates its 400th anniversary of its landing next year. It is es mated that 7-8 million people can trace their ancestry back to the 103 passengers aboard the Mayflower, including several club members. Immediately following Roger's presenta on, we will serve up cake, ice cream, and coffee in celebra on of the Club's start 40 years ago. Please join us for a fun and fes ve a ernoon!
