Tournaments & Holidays

We have an exciting couple of months coming up – starting with Grandmaster Choi’s Tournament on November 7th. We will have over 80 students participating in this competition! I’d love to get the whole ‘Tournament Team’ together to take pictures…wouldn’t that be fun! How about we all meet at the Academy on Saturday the 14th at Noon to take some pictures? Good luck to everyone – I’m sure you’ll do a great job.

Then there’s Grandmaster Giacobbe’s Championship in Blackwood, NJ on November 21st. I hope we will have a good number of students participating in this tournament – it is well organized and a great opportunity for experience.

To cap off the Tournament Season for the year, we will be holding our All Star Banquet on Saturday, December 12th. This is a celebration to recognize all those who got out of their comfort zone over the past year and competed in a tournament. It will be a buffet style function here at the West Windsor TaeKwonDo Academy. Lots of fun for the whole family. Save the date now.

Black Belt Club

The Black Belt Club will finish up Tournament Training in November and then return to concentrate on learning how to use and improving proficiency with the Bo Staff. Joining the Black Belt Club in October were:

It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the end of World War I (major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect).

New Parent’s Program

So very excited by this program – we now have 12 parents participating! Makes that Adult/Teen class more dynamic and fun. Pictured below are Akanksha and Sneha Tripathy with their Dad – Pradip.

This is a FREE program – if you have a child enrolled at the West Windsor Tae-KwonDo & Kickboxing Academy, you (the parent) can take class for free.

Come on in and try it out a couple of times to see if this is a good fit for you. Classes are at 8:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Saturday mornings at 11am.
