They took part in a range of acvies to do with coastal processes, including listening to a talk from the centre's warden about longshore driſt, the for- maon of spits (like Dawlish Warren) and how sand dunes are made. The children then watched a model of the process of coastal erosion, how it affects different rock types and how coastal defences can be used to slow this process. They then went on to make their own coastal defences on the beach in groups and tested out which ones worked best. Well done to class five for their fantasc ideas, listen- ing and collaboraon!

Pancake Races

We will be staging ‘Pancake Races’ tomorrow at 2.45 pm. This will also include the Pre-School children. Please could children bring in a NAMED frying pan to use. All parents are welcome to come and watch the fun.

As part of our World Book Day celebra-tions, please could children come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 1st March.

Last week, class five went on a trip to Dawlish Warren as part of their topic on Rivers and Coasts. They took part in a range of activities to do with coastal processes, including listening to a talk from the centre's warden about longshore drift, the for-mation of spits (like Dawlish Warren) and how sand dunes are made.

Netball Success!

Many thanks to Rosie Newman for helping to look after Liquorice and Spotty.`

Congratulations to the 14 Year 5/6 children who took part in the mixed Netball County Qualifier at Tiverton High School yesterday evening. The stand-ard of competition was high and much fun was had by all those involved. Both teams played with deter-mination, teamwork and most important-ly...excellent sportsmanship! A particular well done to Bickleigh team A, who have successfully qualified for the next round of the County Cup!
