boundaries of an ordinary existence. Pastor Rick will help you and or your team to
find the courage to embrace momentum for change. As an evangelist, his gift is to
inspire and equip others to become followers of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, if we
would follow Him, we would become fishers of men (Matthew 4:19). By becoming
a partner of Texas Evangelist, you will together with Rick, be a fisher of men and
share the gospel across Texas and beyond, for example in Bolivia as this
newsletter demonstrates how your partnership transforms lives for eternity.
The Apostle Paul who was known as a former gang member of a religious group
called the Pharisees, a man who did hard time in Roman prisons could know
peace even in adversity. Paul said, “I have learned to be content in whatever
circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know
how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret
of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I
can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:11-13).

God would give him supernatural strength in his weakness. He explained that his
weakness allowed the Holy Spirit’s power to work through his life: “I will rather
boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Therefore, I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with
persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am
strong” (2 Cor.
12:9-10).
The Lord was the
source for all his
needs. Philippians
4:19 says, “My
God will supply all
your needs
according to His
riches in glory in
Christ Jesus.”
When we fully rely on the Father, He will provide for us.
He could trust in the Lord’s faithfulness. “God is faithful, who will not allow you to
be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the
way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it” (1 Cor. 10:13). Paul had
learned to depend on the Lord to carry him through any trial.
I pray you will choose to see adversity as a bridge to a deeper relationship with
your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you are a believer, the awesome power of
the Holy Spirit can equip and transform you and to carry you through suffering.
Through pain and hardship, He demonstrates how much we need His help. The
bridge of adversity can take you to a place of indescribable intimacy with Jesus
Christ. Thank you for pray for Texas Evangelist as we reach out to those in
adversity and give them the Hope of Glory through the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
