FRENCH NATIONAL DAY

July 14th, the French National Day was commemorated by the French 2nd language students with a

small presentation. They displayed the diverse aspects of French heritage. The presentation started

off with an introduction from the comperes of the show, follo

the 8th grade students, and then an insight into French monuments and architecture. The walk of the

important people of France was the highlight of the show. The rich culture of France was displayed

along with its diversity and influence into all aspects of life.

The atmosphere within the audience was very vibrant. A variety of expressio

streams got together to celebrate the Independence

Day. The celebrations commenced by hoisting the

national flag. After a euphonious rendition of the

national anthem the students of ICSE and CBSE

showed their respects to the Principals through a

The Kumarans Model United Nations 2014 was

one of the most magnificent events of the year.

The main contributing factor was the

Bangalore, apart from the other Kumaran

institutions. Magnolia, DPS, NPS were som

enriching experience. The students and their

chaperones were delighted to be a part of the

largest and most professionally run MUN in South

India. The plethora of committees added to the

sheer magnitude of the MUN. There were so

many of them that they had to be classified into

crises committees and normal committees. And

more interestingly, along with some general

committees like the General Assembly, the

Security Council, the Financial Crisis Committee,

were the committees of the Order of the Phoenix

(a Harry Potter-based committee) and the

International Cricket Council. These were

undoubtedly the highlights of the MUN and the

most popular. All in all, the KMUN of this year

culminated with a very rewarding experience.

a five day programme which included site visits to the Wipro

Campus, Siemens, Institute of Biotechnology and Applied

Bio-Informatics and the Infosys campus. There were a wide

(CBSE) was held in the school’s amphitheater on the 3
