JULY 2011 - NEWSLETTER
GYM CLUB
There will be no more gym club for the rest of term
due to the imminent arrival of the stage for the
production. Apologies for any inconvenience.
PRODUCTION UPDATE
Just a reminder that we are expecting that all children will
take part in all of our three performances: - Monday 18th
(6.15pm) and Tuesday 19th (1.30pm & 6.15pm). It is
anticipated that the performances will last approximately
one hour.
Have you ordered your tickets? We have a few left for the
evening performances, but plenty left for the Tuesday
afternoon – if you’d like extra tickets for the Tuesday
afternoon, please let us know.
If you are able to help ‘backstage’ during any of the
performances, please let Mr Pearce know.
SPORTS DAY
Our annual Sports Day takes place on Thursday 14th
July at 1pm. You are all warmly invited to join us for
what is traditionally a great mix of fun, camaraderie
and participation with a tinge of competitiveness.
If you would like to join us for a lunchtime picnic
(starting at 11.45am) please sign up on the sheet in
the new entrance area or give us a call. For the safety
of the children, we do need to know numbers that will
be joining us. Please also make sure that your
children are aware if you are picnicking to avoid
disappointment for them. Simply bring along your
food and drink (no glass bottles, please) and a blanket
or chairs and enjoy the whole experience!
The children will be in the colour team that they are in
for ‘credit card’ groups in their class. If the children
could wear their relevant group’s coloured top, it
would be appreciated.
PTFA The annual school fete will take place on Saturday 9
th
July, 12pm – 3pm. We hope that you will be able to
support us with this event. This Friday (8th) will be the
last ‘Come as you Please’ Day. This time we are
requesting cakes and fresh produce. Cakes can also be
brought in on the day of the fete.
As usual, there will be a ‘water slide’ at the fete. If you
would like your child to ‘have a go’ please ensure that
they have their swimming costume and a towel.
Please could you return all used/ unused
raffle tickets and money to the school
office by Friday. Thank you.
