Welcome back LMS!This year is going to be great! 

 

You’ve seen their blue and pinkshirts… they have been helping the 6th grad-ers with their lockers… they are the W.E.B.Crew Leaders! 

 The W.E.B. crew leaders had a funtime with all the 6th graders during orienta-tion. They played games with them in groupsand welcomed them to their new school. There are 36 W.E.B. crew leaders. Wow! That’s a bunch of kids that are hard workers! 

I asked Emily Connelly, one of theW.E.B crew leaders, how it feels being agroup leader instead of a 6th grade partici-pant. She said, “ I feel like it’s a betterchance to really help and to make the 6thgraders’ year as best as I can, and hopefullybe better than mine .” 

 The W.E.B. crew has certus kick off the school year, but tmore to look forward to. This yeaing to have an amazing time dolies. There are going to be 4 pepfaculty will be in the pep ralliethings planned like every year.leaders and STARS will also be ing performances for 6th, 7th, aners to see.

Don’t forget about the bookup September 29th - October 3ron by to see Mrs. Damon and hlection of wonderful books.

Also, LMS will be having on September 23rd from 5:30 - a great time for parents and studwith teachers. This will also be wBYOD policy will be explained to students. You don’t want to miss

Welcome to the 2014-2015 football and vol-

leyball season.

September 11, 2014 was the first LMS 7thand 8th grade boy’s football games. The 7thgrade A team won their game against Cleve-land 28 to 0. The 8th graders lost their game7 to 21.

 The 8th grade LMS football team is stillplanning to win district this year after justfalling a little short of winning last year’sdistrict.

 The volleyball team had their first game Sep-

tember 4th. All the volleyball teams exceptseventh grade A team won their first game.Monday, September 8th, our volleyballteams lost their games against Tarkington. The LMS Lady Panthers hosted a volleyballtournament Saturday, September 13th.Players from Dayton, Anahuac and Hardincame to Liberty Middle School and playedfrom 8 a.m. until 2:30. Liberty did really welland placed as first runner up.

news staff is made up of 18 LMS students. Iinterviewed some of the newspaper staff.

 

When asked what she liked about newspaper,Emily Connelly said she liked all the art in it.Next, I asked Luke Evans what he liked aboutnewspaper and he said he likes to write aboutsports and the art. Then, I asked if it was go-

ing to be a good year in newspaper. FranciscoPacheco said that it is going to be a great yearin newspaper. I also asked Leslie Rodriguezwhat she liked about newspaper. She saidshe enjoys writing and making new friends.Last but not least, I asked Hugo Lopez howthis year is going and he said it is going goodin newspaper.

We are all working hard, so you won’t missanything this year.
