• If organizing is more your thing, how about being a supply room organizer, or maybe you would like to use your hostess skills to help show our teach-ers and children the appreciation they so richly deserve!

• Prefer to use your gifts from home on clerical jobs? That is always needed too!

• If leadership is your gift, consider serving as a classroom representative for our Children’s Council, our Chil-dren’s Ministry leadership team that meets monthly .

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITYSundays starting Sept. 18 at 5 pm in Portable 1 with a free preview Wed, Sept. 14 at 6:30 pm. We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, prac-tical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

SET APART: HOLY HABITS OF PROPHETS AND KINGS Tuesdays starting Sept. 20 from 7-9 pm in Portable 4. Set Apart is a dynamic six-week study of 1 and 2 Kings that examines the holy habits of the prophets and kings who were set apart by their close walk with God. Each week we will explore the central story of one of these intriguing men of God and the specific practice each observed, as well as what the Bible teaches about this practice.

FEAR & FAITHWednesdays starting Sept. 21 from 9:30-11:30 am in Zone 56. We will never be short on fears. Fail-ure, rejection, sickness, losing a loved one, being alone—the fears we carry are many and heavy. Fear can be a tyrant, a bully we can’t hide from. It can paralyze our spirit, damage our relationships, and hinder our faith. Whatever it is that you fear, you are not alone nor are you without hope from the One who can replace your fear with faith in Him.

DNA TEAMSargyleumc.org/dna Jesus spent quality time with the disciples--he Discipled, Nurtured, and held them Accountable. We will be better disciples if we seek the same kinds of relationships Jesus modeled. That’s where DNA teams come in, and we encourage you to join one.

CULTIVATE LIFE GROUP

Our names are Bret and Di-anne Lane; we joined Cultivate pretty much at the beginning in 2015. We were not really sure what we were looking for, but knew we wanted to be more involved in AUMC and meet people around our age that we could connect with. What we found were different people with different backgrounds brought together by faith. It is nice to be able to share and grow your faith with a diverse group of people. We have enjoyed not

only growing in our faith with the different topics and bible stud-ies that we have done, but also have enjoyed getting to know the members of Cultivate with various different social activities such as a craw-fish boil and attending a per-formance of The Nutcracker in which one of the members had a role. We hope as

we grow our faith and our family that Cultivate will continue to be a place where we can come to be grounded in God’s word and apply it in our everyday lives as well as continue to meet new people and grow friendships we know will always be special to us. Cultivate was formed in Fall 2015 to fill the desires of adults in their mid-20’s to 30’s to have a Life Group that they could call their own. Within this Life Group,

we wanted to create a space in which we would “cultivate” our own relationship with Jesus, as well as serve others in need. Cul-tivate welcomes those who are married or unmarried, have kids or do not have kids; we support each other in this stage of life with fellowship and social activ-ities outside of class in addition to our regular meeting on Sun-days at 11am. Our Life Group incorporates multimedia presen-tations and discussion about the challenges that Christians face, such as prayer, discipleship, and service. We invite you to come “grow” with us!
