NGAUS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
One (1) Army or Air Guardsman Selected Annually
• Serves 15 August to 15 December of the following year (16 mos.)
• Overlaps with subsequent Fellow for ~4 months per year
Professional Education
• Attends Georgetown Government Affairs Institute (GAI); earns Professional Cert. in Leg. Studies
• Applies skillset from educational component to NGAUS advocacy
• Works with Congress (under supervision of NGAUS Legislative Director/Legislative Programs Managers)
Attends NGAUS Conference Twice
• First Conference:
• Introduced to attendees
• Attends specific events to enhance their officer professional development
• Second Conference:
• Assists Legislative staff with Conference duties
• Assists in conducting Resolutions Committee meetings
RESOLUTIONS DATABASE
• Database for submission, storage, and organization of resolutions
• State–passed resolutions submitted and stored directly through the NGAUS website
• Increased ability to organize, edit, and manage all resolutions
DATABASE SUBMISSION• Navigate to “Issues & Advocacy” tab
on NGAUS website• Click “Resolutions” on the drop-
down menu
• Click on “Click here to submit state draft resolutions”
• State Association POCs will be taken to log in page• Use NGAUS website credentials
(email & password) to log in
• State Association POCs will be brought to the online submission form
• Complete form and click “Save”
• If submitting multiple Draft Resolutions, click “Submit Additional Resolution”
