A T R A D I T I O N O F E XC E L L E N C EIt is not by accident that the Heavy Construction Academy is the Nation’s leading institution for the training certification of heavy equipment operators. HCA’s Founder and President, Ralph Delvecchio, spent nearly 30 years as the owner of a successful excavation and development company. While in the business, he built a reputation of skill, honesty, and integrity and today those values are the foundation of the Academy.

The nation’s infrastructure is decaying - a fact underscored by the I-35 bridge collapse in Minneapolis in 2007 and the failure of levees in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

To address this challenge, President Barack Obama has included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act a $150 billion pledge to repair and maintain our crumbling roads, bridges and water systems.

This stimulus spending will create or save 1.85 million jobs in construction and equipment manufacturing - jobs requiring heavy equipment.operators.

There has never been a better time to pursue certification in this skilled trade. In fact, information from the U.S Department of Labor shows Heavy Equipment Operator careers in the top 10 in-demand opportunities in the nation.

T H E H C A D I F F E R E N C ECollectively, the faculty of the Heavy Construction Academy has hundreds of years of successful heavy construction industry experience - more than any other any other school of its kind in the country.

HCA instructors are “the real deal” and know first-hand what it takes to be successful in the heavy construction business. At HCA, class sizes are kept small to afford one-on-one personalized instruction for all students.

True, HCA training and cert i f icat ion opens doors of opportunity

for graduates, but it’s the hands on, real-world experience under the guidance of real industry professionals that make HCA graduates the most proficient, prepared, and marketable in the coun-try.
