RHG The Running Horse Group

Objectives:   To support at least one day of quality improvement training to all senior paediatric trainees on a regional basis by 2013 and all trainees by 2015   To support the NHS Change Model by empowering those involved in the care of children, often health care professionals in training, to spread innovation & deliver high quality care

We are in the middle of a perfect storm..

4 million A&E attendances by children and young people in 2010/11

75% of children’s asthma admissions

could have been prevented with

better primary care, social care and self

management If the UK health

system performed as

well as Sweden, 1500 children might not die

each year

The NHS needs to save £20billion by 2014/15, followed

by a further £20 billion once this

saving is met

Our Vision All children and young people experience a high quality and safe service delivered by professional partnerships

engaged in a culture of continuous improvement.

Thank you very much for making me aware of the Innovating for Life Awards through the Running Horse Group; as a result I have just won a £10,000 grant for

our Neonatal Unit.
