    Gold panning for alluvial gold.

Mining for gold to get a fortune.

You only have a 50% chance to find or not find

    any gold at all.

Heaps of people died from breathing dust and

    died from diseases.

They used a cable to pull the carts out of the

    mine.

They had a battery house to crush rocks to find

    gold!

They had the mine carts to get gold out of the

    mines.

They found gold the size of a plate.

    They lived in tents.

They use to find gold the size of wheels.

SCHOOL BANKING Learn how to help your child save money

Expression of interest form We are looking into setting up a school banking system so that kids can learn to manage their own

accounts and learn about saving. The students would receive good interest, no fees and if we do it

through the school, then the school gets a donation back from the bank for the school.

Complete slip below and return to the office by Friday 20th July.

    LAUGH @ NILMA

Well done to all those who have been enjoying the Learning Activities Under the Guidance of Home

program (LAUGH). Keep up the good work. The laugh program will begin next week on Monday. Each

student is required to borrow a game, play it at home with family and/or friends and then return it on the

following Monday. Our process for overdue games is as such, if students have had a game for more than two

weeks a late slip will be given to the class teacher who will place it in the school diary to go home to parents, if

students are unable to find game pieces or whole games a note to the class teacher explaining this is required so

teachers can follow it up and a solution can be found. Thank you for your assistance in helping to keep this

    program running smoothly.

PARENT HELPERS IN THE CLASSROOMS We would like to make a list of parents who are willing to help in the classroom and days available.

Parents will need to have ‘Working with Childrens Check’ This is free and you can get forms from

the Post Office—it can take a few weeks.
