More photos on Page A-2 By Jim Cook Jr. nj.com/south BRIDGETON — Behind the dreads of long hair, multitude of tattoos and air of swagger, there is an artist and business- man inside of Jon Formisano. Not many may know the name Jon Formisano, but utter the name “Maly Money” in a local concert venue of rap enthusiasts and the crowd goes wild. That includes rap enthusiasts in Cum- berland County, but also in New York, Miami, Atlanta, and Paris, France. The 23-year-old former Bridgeton High School student has been hard at work since he was 12 years old, learning the art of rap and honing his craft. “It’s been great,” Formisano told The News last Friday. “I’m all over the place. I just got back from Paris. I loved Paris a lot. I’ve been traveling, but I’m still very much tied to Cumberland County.” Many of the music videos in which he appears and helps produce are shot in Cumberland County, including parts of the new song “Fly,” featuring industry- signed artist Lil Chuckee. As a 23-year member of both Soroptimist International of Cumberland County and a member of the Rotary Breakfast club, she liverd the Soroptimist motto, “Women at their best helping other women to be their best.’’ “She was postive support,’’ said Diane Kol- man of the woman who never smoked in her life, yet was taken by breast cancer on JUne 24 of last year. She was 69. Her husband is devastated by the loss. He still cannot mention any of the many things she meant to him without choking up. “I can’t talk ... ,’’ he said over and over. “... We were married for 35 years.’’ He made every trip with her to Jefferson for treatment. “She was a community person represent- ing the club,’’ said Kolman. “I knew her for 15 years.’’ As a Soroptimist since 1988, she was the chairperson for four committees: 1. Growth, Education and Development. 2. Hospitality. 3. Public Relations. 4. Public Affairs. Manna From Heaven is a labor of love for those involved, a love that was well evidenced by the sumptuous food and the welcoming atmosphere. “How do you like the prime rib?” Ange- lia Edwards, the group’s founder and CEO asked with a smile. “I stayed up all night smoking it on the grill.” Every volunteer involved evinced the Manna feeds Easter hungry (See MANNA, Page A-2)

BRIDGETON — Behind the dreads of long hair, multitude of tattoos and air of swagger, there is an artist and business-man inside of Jon Formisano.
