INTRODUCTION

The above project aims at developing an “No Fly Zone” based on ultra sonic sensor.

Micro controller based ultrasonic range sensor is used for the mobile robotic application in order to

determine the distance of the closest object. Range sensors are used for robot guidance and obstacle

avoidance. Ultrasonic are the sound waves that are used to measure the distance from a reference

point (usually on the sensor itself) to the objects in the fields of ‘view’ of the sensor. Range sensors

are used for robot guidance or flying obstacle avoidance in Army areas.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

This project is a complete microcontroller based robot. The aim of this project is to develop a

microcontroller based ultrasonic based robot that moves on a specific or a predefined path. An

ultrasonic sensor is mounted on that robot. As the robot moves on a predefined path, the ultrasonic

sensor that is mounted on the robot continuously measures the distance from the robot to the upwards

direction. The ultrasonic radar continuously checks the obstacles that are coming in the range that is

predefined as the threshold value in the programming and is burned in the microcontroller.

As soon as any of the obstacles comes in the path of the ultras sonic range, the audio alarm beeps to

show that the obstacle is detected.

Hence this project can be used as an army application to check the obstacles regularly by moving at a

predefined path.
