Nobu Hospitality and RCD Resorts have unveiled plans to open the first

Nobu Hotel in Mexico. Slated to debut in 2017 on the shores of Cabo

the two companies following Nobu Hotel Eden Rock Miami Beach.

WATG’s Monica Cuervo and Mark Yoshizaki are serving as the project’s

lead architects, while Severine Tatangelo of Studio PCH, the

architectural designer who created Nobu Restaurant Malibu, is

  • spearheading the interiors, including the design of the new hotel’s

    Nobu Restaurant and Bar.

Plans for the luxury locale include guest rooms and suites bearing a

design inspired by both Japan and the hotel’s beach location, project

participants say. The project will also feature a signature beachfront

restaurant along with event and meeting space, a spa, retail stores, and

    multiple dining and lounging concepts.

“The Nobu Hotel Los Cabos will represent a new and differentiated

luxury product, which will be unique for both Los Cabos and the wider

resort community," says Trevor Horwell, Nobu Hospitality chief

    executive.

The resort marks the ninth hotel from Nobu Hospitality, a private

company owned by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert DeNiro and Meir

    Teper.
