Riding a bicycle is an extremely popular and efficient method to navigate throughout

New Orleans and the French Quarter. Fortunately, visitors can get around just like the

locals due to bicycle rental companies, like American Bicycle Rental Company (ABRC).

In addition, Free Wheelin' Bike Tours provides an affordable and fun alternative to

    walking and bus tours.

New Orleans is a unique destination for bicyclists because it is compact and flat as a

crepe! We live in the biggest little city in America. From the seat of a bike, New Orleans

is transformed into a Wonderland of Exploration... you can be a kid again. The city

reveals her often overlooked nooks, cranniesand secret spots that just aren't accessible by

any other mode of transport. On a bike, you

can see and do more in less time... with a

song in your heart and a smile on your face.

According to Wikipedia, New Orleans ranks

as #20 in the U.S. in regards to bicycle com-

muters. In the Fall of 2011, The League of

American Bicyclists bestowed unto NewOrleans it's Bronze "Bicycle Friendly

Community" award. Since Katrina, New Orleans has quadrupled it's miles of bikeways.

We believe with a motivated and engaged citizen/government partnership, New Orleans

could be the #1 bicycle friendly city in the country in no time flat.

American Bicycle Rental Company (ABRC) located at 325 Burgundy Street, opened their

doors in February of 2011. ABRC was also the 1st bicycle rental company to open in the

French Quarter post-Katrina. The American Bicycle Rental Company is the premier

bicycle rental company in New Orleans. They offer high-quality, custom designed,American-made cruisers set-up especially for the rough streets of New Orleans. Included

with each rental is a lock, helmet, basket and a map with riding routes. Another key

feature that sets them apart from the competition is that they have the only after-hours

    returns facility in the city.

Free Wheelin' Bike Tours (FWBT) at 325 Burgundy Street, opened their doors in January

of 2012. FWBT was also the 1st bike tour company to open in the French Quarter post-

Katrina. Free Wheelin' Bike Tours specializes in bicycle tours that center on the history

of New Orleans from its founding in 1718 to present day. Ride by stately manors, and

through historic neighborhoods nestled beneath ancient Oak trees. While the buildings

have come and gone, the people and culture have remained, and we are proud of the

fact that some things never change. Come with us for a ride through old New Orleans

and Let The Good Times Roll!

The incredible food is augmented by thoughtful facility design and dcor with a fun and

festive environment that is reminiscent of being in a private home in Mexico, featuring a

relaxing, candle-lit courtyard. While appropriate for families, live entertainment on some

evenings draws groups of friends to gather at Ritas Tequila House after the traditional
