Young Leaders
The Ignite Awards have been created by our 17 Inspiring Young Leaders, aged between 14 and 19. This is a youth led event to recognise young people’s achievements in Enfield.
“The Ignite Awards were created by young people for young people, and that’s what makes them so special. They truly recognise the hard work and determination it takes to be a young person in today’s world.”

“When we launched the Inspiring Young Enfield programme in 2019, we were driven by one ultimate aim – to make sure every young person in Enfield has a chance to achieve their goals and reach their potential, no matter their background or where they live in the borough. I am struck by some of the fantastic work that we have seen in the last three years, and would also like to thank our panel of providers who are helping to give young people the skills, ambition and confidence to hit their long-term goals.
“It has been a tremendously difficult period for young people over the past 18 months, which is why I am all the more amazed by the strides that have been made in performance, entrepreneurship, sporting achievement and community volunteering. While it’s always difficult to single out individuals, please help us honour those who have made a real difference to their lives and those of the people around them by nominating them, today. I look forward to the results and to celebrating at our Ignite awards ceremony.”

Inspiring Young Creator(s) An individual or a group who inspires others through either of the following creative arts:• Physical Art• Fashion• Animation• Graphic Design
Inspiring Young Entrepreneur An individual who has setup a business which makes money or meets a community need.
Inspiring Young Volunteer An individual who has made an impact in a local community which has contributed to the wellbeing of others.
Young Role Model An individual who has contributed to positive change in their school/ community.
Sporting Achievement An individual who has excelled or made an outstanding contribution or achievement in a sporting activity.
360 Award An individual who has turned their life around for the better, showing great resilience within a challenging circumstance, and has made a positive change personally or for the community.
Inspiring Young Person An individual who has shown an outstanding achievement in multiple areas.
lnspiring Young Enfield is committed to promoting a positive image of young people in Enfield.
The aim of these awards is to highlight and celebrate the success of young people and their continued commitment to the community in and around Enfield.
What can you nominate a young person for?Nominations are open to young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 with disabilities.Please note each Nomination Pack is restricted to 2 nominations per nominator.
