Noritake EX-3 Ceramic Courses
Aims and ObjectivesThese courses will guide and inspire the delegate through ceramic layering techniques, including staining applications, so as to offer enhanced aesthetics in this sphere of restorative work.Each delegate is expected to gain knowledge of the following subjects presented:• Overview of Noritake porcelain systems• Paste opaque liner application / baking• Dentine and Enamel build up / baking• Internal Live Staining• Luster build up• Morphological correction / finishing• Clinical cases
Anticipated Educational OutcomesDelegates will learn how to achieve natural morphology and aesthetics in ceramic work when using this porcelain system and thereby apply this learning to their practical work and ultimately improve the quality of restorations for patients.

Noritake EX-3 Ceramic Courses
After graduating from Dental College in Mie-prefecture, Japan, Mr. Hirata worked for eight years at a dental clinic to gain clinical-case experiences. In 1993 he went to New York to work as chief dental technician of the Porcelain Department for Cusp Dental Research, Inc. which is an affiliated company of Noritake Dental Supply Co. Ltd. After working there for three years Mr. Hirata returned to Japan in 1996 and started working in the Research & Development Division of Noritake Dental Supply Co. Ltd. He was involved in developing products, such as the “Shade Guides”,
“Cerabien”, “CZR”, “CZR Press”, “EX-3 Press” and also the latest products, like “Value Shade”. Besides research and analyzing, Mr. Hirata has also been working as an instructor for Advanced Porcelain Courses. As well as teaching in Japan he has been educating world wide, in other Asian and European countries. Another important position he holds is technical advisor at the Noritake Dental Information Centre. He answers many calls from Noritake users and dealers alike and provides important technical information on a daily basis.
