out of 118 athletes. Be sure to congratulate these athletes on their great performances.
Also, both the boy’s and girl’s cross country teams have earned a trip to the District III Championships. The
district meet will take place on October 29th at Big Spring High School. Wish them good luck as they contin-

Kelly Pyott and Kelli Zortman (and June-Bug the Boston Terrier) from Shiloh Veterinary Hospital came in to speak to the Anatomy and Physiology students at NHS about careers in Veterinary Medicine. They also discussed the surgical and physical therapy requirements for CCL repair surgery in dogs and used June-Bug as their helper. This was an amazing presentation and the students really learned a lot about Veterinary Medicine.
As part of the Spanish IV Honors curriculum, the high school students are offering the elementary school pro-

during which elementary students learned how to state their names, ask for others' names, ask and state how
they're doing, and respond to basic commands with classroom objects.
Kendra Weiser and John Mazuera teach
Spanish to students in Mrs. Lindsey’s class-
room. Jasmin Johnson and Erica Shearer give
Spanish names to the students in Mrs.
Long’s classroom.
Jasmin Johnson and Erica Shearer use
a puppet in Mrs. Long’s classroom to
model how to ask and state your name
in Spanish.
Christina Herman, Samantha Lowe, and Jordan Lemen
and the students in Mrs. Trauger’s fourth grade classroom
greet each other and tell how they are feeling.
