Year 2 Tag Rugby Report 3rd March 2020

On Tuesday, our Year 2 Tag Rugby team took part in a School Games Rugby Festival at Reading Rugby Club. The children played extremely well in all their matches; working well as a team to pass, tackle and scoring many tries.

Thank you to Laura for supporting the team and to Jez and Jon for helping with the coaching (and Laura for providing a feast of snacks for the children in between matches to keep their energy levels up!).

Here are some comments from the children: Girls: ‘It was really hard work. You had to try and tackle’ ‘The boys could swap over but the girls had to stay on the pitch’ ‘We each scored a try!’ Boys: ‘Ralph rolled on the floor every time he scored a try.’ ‘We won nearly all the matches!’ ‘We had a feast after every match.’ ‘I scored lots of tries. All of our team did very well.’

If you are interested in joining a friendly Rugby Club, please see the flyer in the attachment (contact Ka-ren@[email protected] RRC Tel: 01189696592):
