Do you know about our….
Our Little Library is located in our school library and is there for the under 5’s to have a look at and they can borrow a book also. They may like to borrow a book just like their older brother or sister! If you would like to come in and have a look the school library is open before and after school. It opens from 8.35am in the morning and it closes at 3.45pm after school.

PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN - WE NEED YOUR HELP! It has come to our attention that our children’s safety is being put at risk on the way to and from school. We need everyone’s help with this issue. You can help by:
talking with children about only crossing the road at the pedestrian crossings, setting a good example by using the pedestrian crossings yourself, driving slowly near the school and only parking in appropriate places - do NOT double park to drop
children off, using the roundabouts to turn around - do not do 3-point turns or pull into and then reverse out of
driveways near the school.
Other things that can help:
Drop children off to school early - this will beat the traffic and they can enjoy breakfast club and/or visit the library before school.
Pick children up 5 to 10 minutes after the bell. By this time the traffic will have cleared and the children can wait in the Kiss and Go Zone so you can pull in a pick them up.
Encourage children to walk or ride to school - this is good for their health and fitness. If you see someone breaking the law with their driving or parking, please contact the police or Casey
Council to report this. Remind children that they must not ride or walk up the school driveway, they need to enter the school
through one of the pedestrian gates. Andrew Bergmeier PRINCIPAL

Important Reminders for School: It is very important for students’ academic success that they attend school regularly and are on time each morning. Please help children to arrive at school by 8:50am at the latest. If students are going to be absent, eg due to illness, it is your responsibility to notify the school before 9am. Students are expected to wear full school uniform every day. This means navy blue pants/skirt and jumpers and a gold or navy blue shirt, or a school dress. Navy blue or black leggings may be worn under clothes but not as pants. Hats are required in Terms 1 & 4. Mrs Dodd can assist with school clothing if you are having financial difficulties. Please name all hats and tops and remind students to take responsibility for taking care of their belongings. Healthy food provides the necessary fuel for learning. Too much junk food can create sugar highs and lows that nega-tively affect concentration and behaviour. Please send students with healthy food, including a piece of fruit in their lunch box. Breakfast and Brunch Club are also available daily. Research shows that children do better at school when their parents are involved! There are lots of ways you can get involved. First up, we have our Parents & Friends Club meeting next Wednesday (5th Feb) at 7pm in the staffroom. We invite you to come along to see what it’s all about, learn more about the school and to share your ideas and views. You are welcome to bring along children. Excursions & School Activities Please check that excursions, sports and in-visit forms have been signed and returned before due dates so students don’t miss out on educational opportunities. Copies can be obtained from the office or on our website.
