DAY 1 Madrid Arrival at Madrid airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Accommodation in Madrid.

DAY 2 Madrid Breakfast at the hotel. Morning panoramic tour of Madrid to discover the medieval origins of the city, such as the Arabic fortress at the Barrio de la Morería. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa, as well as a look at the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the famous Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. A stop will be made at the famous “Hard Rock Café” to enjoy a free drink. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation in Madrid.

DAY 3 Madrid • Trujillo • Lisbon 629 km After breakfast, depart going westbound towards the Extremadura region, you will enjoy a relaxing drive to Trujillo, hometown of many discoverers of the new world. Free time to see the beautiful Plaza Mayor and continue through Portuguese soil along the Alentejo Plains. Arrival over the impressive 25th of April Bridge in Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. DAY 4 Lisbon After breakfast depart for a morning sightseeing tour of Lisbon. You will see its main squares and avenues, Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoverers, Marquis of Pombal Square, and Liberty Avenue. Afternoon is at leisure to discover the Alfama Quarter. Accommodation in Lisbon.

DAY 5 Lisbon • Alcobaça • Batalha • Fatima 165 km Breakfast at the hotel. Drive north to arrive at your first point of interest Alcobaça, visit a 12th century church containing the tombs of Pablo and Inês de Castro. Continue on Batalha to visit the Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Continue on to Fatima, with its impressive Basilica and Cova da Iria where the Virgin Mary appeared. Accommodation in Fatima.

DAY 6 Fatima • Obidos • Nazare • Lisbon 253 km Breakfast at the hotel and morning at leisure. Early afternoon departure for the beautiful walled town of Obidos with its picturesque streets and the Pousada do Castelo, followed by a visit to the charming fishing village of Nazare. Afterwards, return to Lisbon through the colorful farming region. Accommodation in Lisbon.

DAY 7 Lisbon • Caceres • Cordoba 632 km Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Caceres, declared a UNESCO World Heritage City, known for its blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. You will walk through Plaza Mayor and the old town with its medieval quarter. Continue to Cordoba. Supper and accommodation in Cordoba.

DAY 8 Cordoba • Seville 139 km After breakfast, depart early in the morning for a city tour of Cordoba, including a visit of the Mosque and the Jewish Quarter. In the late afternoon, continue to Seville. Supper and accommodation in Seville.

DAY 9 Seville After breakfast, depart for a panoramic city tour of Seville and its monuments such as the Cathedral (exterior), Santa Cruz Quarter and Maria Luisa Gardens. Seville is the capital of Andalusia and an important business center in the south of Spain. The afternoon is at leisure for you to discover more of the city on your own. DAY 10 Seville • Ronda • Costa del Sol 232 km Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Ronda. Time is at leisure to visit the city of Celtic origin and its marvellous view of the valley and mountain range. In the afternoon, continue on to the Costa del Sol. Supper and accommodation on the Costa del Sol.

DAY 11 Costa del Sol • Granada 137 km After breakfast, depart via the Caliphate road to Granada. Visit of the Alhambra (exterior) complex, a set of fortified buildings on the hill overlooking Granada. You can admire the Generalife Gardens. Optional Flamenco show ($) in a Gypsy Zambra at the Sacromonte square. Supper and accommodation in Granada.

DAY 12 Granada • Toledo • Madrid 439 km Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Imperial city of Toledo (a UNESCO World Heritage city), where the three cultures of Spain (Christian, Moorish and Jewish) co-existed historically. Your visit will include an interesting tour of the most important city monuments through its narrow streets followed by a visit to the famous factory “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron).
