NUSSA HONOURS FUO VICE CHANCELLOR AT HER 11TH GAMES IN UNIBEN

The Nigerian Universities Staff Sport

Association (NUSSA) has honoured

the Vice Chancellor, Prof Bashir Ade-

mola Raji with an Award of Excellence

for Service. The award, given to Prof

Raji at the 11th NUSSA Games held at

University of Benin from 6th to 11th

August, 2014, was to recognise his

efforts towards the resuscitation of

the Association’s games after 18 years

of being moribund.

Prof. Raji was said to have ensured

that Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

had the 9th edition of the games

staged on her campus after 17 years

of accepting to host in 1991. He made

this dream become reality in 2008

when ABU hosted the 9th edition of the

NUSSA Games and since then the

Games have bounced back to life.

It would be recalled that the Vice Chan-

cellor had sometime last year been

decorated by the National Association

of Nigerian Students (NANS) with an-

other award of excellence and as well

had been nominated and hosted by
