A reminder- Please work with your child on learning to tie his/her shoes!! It is important

that the kiddos learn to tie their shoes so that they don't trip and hurt themselves.

Icee day is Wednesday! Our popcorn day is on Friday! The cost is 50 cents.

Money MUST be sent in a Ziploc type bag or a sealed envelope with your child’s name, my name, and the purpose written on it or on a card/ sheet of paper inside. Also, I cannot accept money throughout the day. It must be placed in the homework folder so I can account for it first

thing.

What we are learning: Reading: letter and sound recognition, classifying and categorizing, rhyming, reading realistic fiction, print directionality, making predications, monitoring and clarifying predictions, using context clues. **Gravity and Motion Unit

Language Arts: Rhyming words, spelling CVC words, and the letter U

Writing: Sentence writing using phonetic spelling. Understanding that sentences begin with capital letters and end with punctuation marks.

Handwriting: name & letter writing

Math: 2D and 3D shapes

Science: Our 5 Senses
