On exhibit in the showcase in the library foyer is this memorable trophy which last year's LIONS capturedwhen placing fourth in the nation in Junior College basketball. After winning the Region VII basketballtourney held in Boaz, Alabama, the FSJC LIONS went to Hutchinson, Kansas and returned victorious with thistrophy.

Responsible in part for this event is our magnificent Coach SHELBY BREED LOVE who, with limited equipmentand resources, shaped a group of eager, hard playing basketball boys into one of the better Junior Collegeteams in the nation. For this, we wish to give him the recognition he greatly deserves.
