Goals

Set up a affordable, secure and reliable Mail and Web access for all students and staff of the National University of Laos

Educate selected System Administrators on the maintenance of Mail/Web servers and the supporting services



Primary Objectives

Setting up: Web Server Mail Server FTP Server Dial-up Service Supporting Services:

DNS Server DHCP Server

Documentation for System Administrators Providing suggestions for the 2 year planning of

Internet Applications at NUOL

DNS Providing name resolution between web and IP

DHCP Providing client computers with dynamic IP Address

File Server

What is it? Dedicated Server to storing files in a centralized location while

students and staff to a standard template If feasible: the databases will be standardized
