A message from your teachers Hello Rubies and Crystals! I hope you are all ok and having lots of fun learning at home. I miss you all very much but I am enjoying seeing what you’ve been up to when Mummy and Daddy send pictures in on Evidence Me. I am doing ok at home but because I live by myself it’s a little bit lonely sometimes. Luckily I have my big, fat, fluffy cat called Arthur here to look after. He likes to eat and sleep ALL the time but he does give me cuddles every now and then and he’s enjoyed being in the garden with me when it’s sunny. Other than that he’s either leaving lumps of fluff all over my house or attacking my table legs for no reason! He has helped me to write this newsletter though so I suppose he is handy to have around! Like Mrs Knowles I have also managed to do some baking for birthdays with some drip cakes for friends and a horse cake for one of my goddaughters. I also got to see my Mum under the new (socially distant) walking rules so that was great! Love Miss Lilley x Dear Rubies and Crystals, It feels like such a long time since we have seen each other but I hope you are all keeping well and safe and enjoying the lovely sunny days we have been having. It has been good speaking to many of you and your parents on the phone recently. I have been spending time at home with my daughter and husband. As you can see from the pictures I have been baking cakes and gardening. We are growing tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and lots of flowers. My dog Barney likes to help by constantly dropping a tennis ball next to me and hoping that I will throw it for him. Hello Rubies and Crystals!

I hope you are all ok and having lots of fun learning at home. I miss you all very much but I am enjoying seeing what you’ve been up to when Mummy and Daddy send pictures in on Evidence Me. Dear Rubies and Crystals,

It feels like such a long time since we have seen each other but I hope you are all keeping well and safe and enjoying the lovely sunny days we have been having. I also put sweet pea seeds on some wet kitchen roll and the lid of a takeaway box and after a few days we could see the shoot growing and then the roots. Maybe you could try it with some seeds? I am also keeping an eye on my elderly parents and some neighbours and doing their shopping for them. Missing you all lots and hope we can see you all soon.

Recipe – Bunny rolls

Ingredients (makes 12 rolls) - 425g/15oz strong white bread flour (or use any combination of strong white/wholemeal/granary bread flour) - 2 tbsp melted butter, olive oil or vegetable oil - 1 ½ tsp sugar or honey - ½ tsp salt - 1 ¼ tsp fast-action dried yeast - 260ml/9fl oz warm water or milk - You may want to make a sweet dough and add in something like cinnamon Method - Put the flour into a large bowl, add the butter/oil and mix well, then stir in the sugar, salt and yeast. - Make a well in the dry ingredients and add enough of the water/milk to make a soft (not sticky) dough. If the dough is too sticky, just add a little more flour, or add a drop of water if the dough is too dry. - Knead for five minutes and then cover and put aside to rise for around 45 minutes. - Knead again, cut dough into about 12 pieces and make into bread rolls. - Make two snips near one end (adults may want to do this) and pinch to make ears. -Make eyes using peppercorns, cloves etc - Bake for 10–15 minutes.

Keep in Touch!

We love seeing what you’re up to at home. Don’t

forget to ask Mummy or Daddy to send pictures

via, ‘Evidence Me,’ and explain what you’re doing.

A big thank you to all parents who have sent

through pictures already, we love being able to

stay in touch by replying back to you.
