ACN Nursing Scholarships

Range of scholarships valued over $25,000

Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship and Support Scheme

CSP students planning to study an accredited nursing or midwifery course which on completion will enable them to practice as an enrolled nurse, registered nurse or midwife are invited to apply. Scholarship recipients will receive $5,000 per semester for full time study or $2,500 for part time study up to a maximum scholarship value of $30,000. The level of funding provided is determined by the period of study required. Maximum funding for the double degree of Bachelor of nursing/midwifery will be $40,000. Australian Maritime College

The Australian Maritime College (AMC), a specialist institute of the University of Tasmania (UTAS) offers scholarships ranging in value up to and above $8,000 Merit scholarships include:

AMC Outstanding and Excellent Achiever Scholarships The AMC outstanding and excellent achiever scholarships are open to all areas of study at AMC. The AMC Outstanding Achiever Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 96+ and who qualify for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) The AMC Excellent Achiever Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have achieved Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) between 90 - 95, and who qualify for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). Both scholarships are open to students in all AMC courses.

AMC Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship To increase female participation in maritime engineering programs, AMC is offering scholarships to young women. On offer to all female CSP students applying for maritime engineering programs, who attain an ATAR of between 70.00 and 89.00, and meet pre-requisite entry requirements. There is no requirement to complete an application form for these abovementioned scholarships; students will be automatically assessed during the enrolment process. Australian National University

Range of scholarships each year, each ranging between $1,000 and $20,000, some once-off payments and others per year An extensive range of scholarships are on offer including:

ANU National University Scholarship Awarded to eligible CSP students who have achieved an ATAR of 99.90 and above, across all faculties. No application is required. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU and list the ANU course as a first, second or third preference will be automatically considered. Please note that this scholarship cannot be deferred. Scholarship valued at $12,500 per year, for a maximum of five years.

ANU National Merit Scholarship These scholarships are available to recent school leavers who achieved excellent results in their Year 12 qualification. A minimum ATAR of 99.75 – 99.85 is required to be considered. No application is required. All eligible CSP applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU and list the ANU course as a first, second or third preference will be automatically considered. Please note that this scholarship cannot be deferred. Scholarship valued at $6,500 per year, for a maximum of five years.

ANU College of Business & Economics International Undergraduate Scholarship The Scholarships will cover the full (100%) international student tuition fee cost each year, for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholars’ chosen undergraduate program, excluding an Honours Year. The scholarship is available to students completing a single or combined degree.

ANU Foundation for Visual Arts Scholarship Open to CSP and international students who are successful in obtaining entry to an undergraduate degree program offered by the School of Art in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, and be deemed to be an outstanding applicant in any area of expertise of the School by the Selection Committee. No application is necessary as all new undergraduate students will be automatically considered. Valued at $5,000.

Harmony Endowment Undergraduate Scholarship All new applicants commencing an undergraduate degree offered by the ANU School of Music. No application required as all new undergraduate students – CSP and international – will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $5,000 per annum over three years.

ANU Dennis Griffin National Piano Undergraduate Scholarships Applicants must have received an offer by the School of Music in the piano and composition area of the School. No application required as all new undergraduate students – CSP and international – will be automatically considered. Students must demonstrate outstanding musical ability and accomplishment, which will be assessed at audition Scholarship valued at $5,000 per annum over three years.

ANU College of Business & Economics Undergraduate Merit Awards

Awarded to both CSP and international students with a minimum ATAR of 95.00 and who have made an application through UAC for one of the qualifying business courses to ANU. All eligible students will be automatically considered and no application is required. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment.

Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies, Applied Statistics School Undergraduate Merit Award

Open to CSP students who attain a minimum ATAR of 95.00 and have made an application through UAC for the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, Bachelor of Finance or Bachelor of Statistics (combined degrees are accepted). No application necessary as all eligible students considered automatically. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment.

ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Advanced Computing Research & Development Female Excellence Scholarships

Female CSP students are eligible to apply and the expected minimum ATAR 99.00 will be required; valued at $5,000.

ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Engineering Research & Development Female Excellence Scholarship

Female CSP students applying for a single or Flexible Double Degree program of Bachelor of Engineering (Research & Development) (Honours), expecting a minimum ATAR of 99 are eligible to be considered for this $5,000 scholarship.

ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science Research and Development Excellence Scholarships

CSP students must have an ATAR of 99.00, and have applied for admission and will enrol into a single or Flexible Double Degree program of Bachelor of Engineering (R&D) (Honours) or Bachelor of Advanced Computing (R&D) (Honours) offered by the College. Students must have made an application through UAC and also apply for the scholarship. Scholarship valued at $7,500 for students outside of the ACT.

ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science Female Excellence Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships awarded to female CSP students who achieve an ATAR of 97.00 and who are enrolling in Undergraduate programs offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Science. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment.

ANU College of Business and Economics Relocation Grant Open CSP students commencing a single or combined Bachelor degree offered by the College and relocating from interstate to Canberra to study at ANU, will receive a one-off payment of $1,000. Applicants must complete and submit an online application form by the nominated deadline.

Bond University

Bond University offers an extensive scholarship program, with values ranging from 25% scholarships to 100% scholarships. The scholarships listed below are open to both local and international students. Some of the scholarships on offer include:

Vice-Chancellor’s Elite Scholarships This 100% scholarship is available to all Year 12 students with an anticipated ATAR above 95.00; with demonstrated strong leadership skills, and extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. Open to all undergraduate degrees excluding the MBBS.

The Padma and Hari Harilela Scholarships

Awarded to outstanding students from around the globe, looking to study at either undergraduate or postgraduate level. These scholarships open the door to applicants with strong achievements in both community involvement and contribution, and academia. Applicants must meet the prerequisites and the admissions entry standard for their chosen degree. Submission of a 500-word personal statement outlining the applicant's community involvement and contribution, as well as personal attributes and academic achievements. Awardees received a total of $10,000 (domestic students) and $15,000 (international students).

Excellence Scholarships

Awarded to Year 12 students with an anticipated ATAR of over 92.00, demonstrating exceptional potential, strong leadership skills and extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. The value of the scholarships is 50% of tuition fees for any single or combined degree (excluding MBBS).

John Burton Cadetship

Awarded to a high-achieving Year 12 student who has strong academic credentials (As/Bs in Year 11 and 12 school reports), and a demonstrated commitment to a career in journalism. Applicants should also demonstrate strong leadership skills and an extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. This scholarship contributes 50% towards the tuition fees for the Bachelor of Journalism, and students embark upon a four-year

program of work and study, working full-time at the Gold Coast Bulletin as a cadet journalist and full-time study towards a Bachelor of Journalism degree at the University. On successful completion of the four-year program, scholars graduate to a guaranteed position as a journalist at the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Indigenous Scholarships These scholarships, valued up to 50% of tuition fees for any single undergraduate degree (excluding the Medical Program) or 100% tuition for any diploma program, are awarded to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who have demonstrated extracurricular involvement, leadership potential and academic achievements.

Georgina Hope Rinehart Swimming Excellence Scholarship The Georgina Hope Rinehart Excellence Scholarship is targeted at high performance swimming scholars offering a 100% scholarship plus $21,000 living expenses for students to compete at an elite level while gaining an education at Bond University. This scholarship is open to students who are eligible to compete for Australia; are swimming at a very high level for their school or club; have a high academic record, and who possess leadership qualities. Bradman Scholarship

The scheme offers an allowance of $5,000 per year to assist with accommodation and academic expenses for a CSP student to attend an Australian University for the term of the Scholarship, a maximum of three years. A Bradman Scholar is an achiever who possesses a blend of academic, sporting, personal and social skills, together with a strong talent on the cricket field. Furthermore, and most importantly, the Foundation believes that each Scholar should aim to pursue Sir Donald's ideals at all times. Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarship

Valued at $50,000 over three years, the C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship commemorates the achievements of one of Australia's most respected pastoral pioneers who served with distinction in the First World War and went on to become a distinguished scholar and leading figure in the Federal Parliament prior to his tragic and untimely death in an aircraft accident in 1938. Since 1991 the Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund has awarded nearly four million dollars to 90 young Australians. The scholarships have been awarded almost equally to male and female applicants. Scholarship holders have come from every sector of Australian society and graduated from government, catholic and private schools. They have studied law, politics, economics, medicine and arts. Hawker Scholars are now working in Australia, Europe, the US and Asia.

RMHC Charlie Bell Scholarship

The RMHC Charlie Bell Scholarship Program provides financial assistance towards vocational or tertiary studies for students who have experienced serious illness. Children aged 15-20 years who have been treated at Monash Children's Hospital are eligible to apply for a one-off grant of $5,000 to undertake a course of instruction in accredited undergraduate institutions to make a huge difference in their life. Charles Sturt University

Unless specified, scholarships at Charles Sturt University are normally worth from $2,000 to $6,000, some as a once-off payment and others per year.

CSU Excellence Scholarship Awarded to CSP students based on a combination of academic merit (ATAR of 95.00 and above) and evidence of demonstrated leadership and citizenship at school, and within the community. This is a cash scholarship of $5,000 per year up to four years.

Dr Ron Camplin Scholarship OAM Awarded to a CSP student applying for any course at the Bathurst campus and who attained an ATAR of 90.00 or above. The scholarship is valued at $18,000, to be paid in $3,000 instalments twice per year pending GPA of 5.0 or above is achieved and enrolment is ongoing. Applicants are required to submit a minimum 250 word essay on "Who is Ron Camplin?", and also provide evidence of sound academic achievement, community/regional involvement, and career goals and aspirations. Peter Gissing Scholarship Any CSP student studying the Bachelor of Pharmacy at the Wagga Wagga campus. Dream Big Engineering Scholarship Program for Year 12 Girls

The JFPP provides medical students with a unique opportunity to spend quality time in a rural or remote community under the professional guidance of an experienced rural doctor. Students learn through real experience in a placement community for a total of eight weeks over three to four years whilst completing their degree. The JFPP covers the cost of travel and accommodation for students to go on placement, and students are also paid $500 per week to cover food and living expenses during the placement. Monash International Scholarship for Excellence Up to ten scholarships valued at $10,000 per year up to a maximum of four years. It will be awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 international students based on their ATAR score or equivalent. Students must have achieved an ATAR score or equivalent of at least 98.00. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered for this scholarship as long as they have listed at least one Monash course.

Monash Community Leaders Scholarship This one-year scholarship is for CSP students who achieve an ATAR over 85.00, and who wish to use their education to make a difference in the wider University community and be prepared to become an Access Monash Ambassador. To be eligible for this $4,000 scholarship, students will need to apply for the role of Access Monash Ambassador as well as the associated Monash Community Leaders Scholarship. All eligible students will automatically be considered for this scholarship as long as they have listed at least one Monash course.

Mining Engineering Scholarship $6000 for a full-time study load, paid per year, up to a maximum of 4 years. Open to CSP and international students who attain a minimum ATAR of 98.00 and intend commencing a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (Honours). No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered for this scholarship as long as they have listed at least one Monash course.

Women in Engineering Scholarship Up to fifty scholarships will be awarded to any high achieving eligible female CSP and international Year 12 students based on an ATAR score of 95.00 or equivalent. The faculty reserves the right to distribute the scholarships across a range of engineering programs to ensure that women with a diverse range of engineering study interests are included among the recipients. Students may enrol in a single or double degree. This is a $5,000 one-off payment. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered.

Engineering International Undergraduate Award Up to fifty scholarships will be awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 international Students based on their ATAR score or equivalent. Students must have achieved an ATAR score or equivalent of at least 95.00. This scholarship is valued at $6,000 per year, up to four years. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered.

Information Technology Industry-Based Learning Entry Scholarship A once-off payment of $5,000 will be awarded to a number of CSP and international students who attain a minimum ATAR of 80.00; attend an interview and demonstrate that they have good communication skills, maturity, enthusiasm, show initiative and leadership qualities; and participate in extra-curricular interests. Students must be commencing either the Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Science Advanced (Honours) or Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) degree at a Monash campus in Australia. All students who list at least one of the eligible degrees on their VTAC preference list will be considered. Pharmaceutical Sciences Advanced with Honours Scholarship One scholarship will be awarded to a CSP student who attains a minimum ATAR of 90.00 and is commencing the full-time Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Advanced with Honours degree at a Monash campus in Australia. The scholarship is valued at $4,000 per year. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered.

Science International Merit Scholarships $2,000 to $3000 one-off payment for international students who achieve a minimum ATAR of 80.00 and who enrol in one of a select group of undergraduate science degrees.

Vice Chancellor’s Ensemble Leadership Scholarship One scholarship will be awarded to any CSP or international student commencing music performance in an honours degree or postgraduate (coursework) degree in the School of Music at a Monash campus in Australia, and participating in an ensemble. Eligible students will be invited to an audition/interview by the School of Music and will be automatically assessed for this scholarship. This scholarship is valued at $6,000 for a maximum of one year only.

Monash Jazz Music Scholarship One scholarship will be awarded to any CSP or international student commencing an undergraduate degree in the School of Music, specialising in Jazz. Eligible students will be invited to an audition/interview by the School of Music and will be automatically assessed for this scholarship. This scholarship is a once-off payment of $6,000.

Monash-Pratt Musician Performance Scholarship One scholarship will be awarded to any CSP or international student commencing a jazz or classical undergraduate degree in the School of Music at a Monash campus in Australia, and playing a specialised instrument as determined by the School of Music. Eligible students will be invited to an audition/interview by the School of Music and will be automatically assessed for this scholarship. This scholarship is a once-off payment of $6,000. George Alexander Foundation Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students starting a full-time diploma/advanced diploma in semester 1 2017. For students with academic ability, leadership potential, a passion for community involvement and the will to succeed; worth $7500 per year. Jacob and Charlotte Kahane Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students who are passionate about journalism. It is valued at $7,000 for one year, and applications must be made directly to RMIT.

Scholarship for Women in Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering

All female CSP students commencing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing or Sustainable Engineering can apply for this scholarship, which is a once-off payment of $5000. To be eligible, students must also attain an ATAR of 95.00+ and must have demonstrated leadership in a societal or cultural setting. Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview. Applications must be made directly to RMIT and short-listed applicants must be available to be interviewed if necessary.

Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Academic Merit Scholarship Valued at $5,000 for one year, to provide financial assistance in the first year of study. For CSP and international students commencing a full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering.

Victorian Department of Health and Human Services Nuclear Medicine Scholarship

The Department of Health (Victoria) is offering scholarships of $10,000 over three years for CSP students who attain an ATAR of 85 or above, studying the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) Nuclear Medicine stream. For more information about

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) offers scholarships to a number of occupational areas and locations to assist professionals who have a desire and passion to work for the RFDS and who need to obtain further skills and qualifications. Bachelor of Information Technology Industry Scholarship Program The scholarship is on offer to CSP applicants applying for the Bachelor of Information Technology. Successful students will receive an industry-funded tax-free scholarship of approximately $40,000 over three years, and 40 weeks work experience in the ICT industry. Swinburne International Undergraduate Academic Scholarship High-achieving international students who plan to study a bachelor program at Swinburne may be eligible for this scholarship. Valued at 25% of the total tuition fees for bachelor degrees, and 10% of the total tuition fees for professional degrees, these scholarships are awarded on academic merit. Students will automatically be assessed for a scholarship when applying for an eligible program at Swinburne. There is no need for a separate application. Chancellors Award Valued at $10,000 per year for the duration of the course, this scholarship is awarded to CSP students who demonstrate an outstanding performance in their Year 12 results, achieving an ATAR of 99.95 or above (or equivalent). There is no need to apply for this scholarship as the University will contact eligible students when the ATARs are released if they meet the eligibility criteria and have listed a preference for The University of Sydney

Sydney Scholars Award Open to high achieving CSP and international students commencing their studies in 2016, and values range from $6,000 to $10,000 and awarded in duration from one year, up to 5 years (combined degrees). Vice-Chancellor’s National University Scholarship The Vice-Chancellor’s National University Scholarships are the University’s premier academic scholarships awarded to high achieving students who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence in Years 11 and 12. Open to CSP and international students, this scholarship is valued at $20,000 per year plus an additional once-off $5,000 payment for students eligible to undertake a semester of overseas exchange at one of the University’s partner institutions. Interstate students may also receive a once-off relocation assistance package. Year 12 school leavers will be considered automatically for these scholarships.

Dean’s Merit Scholarships These awards are available to high achieving CSP and international school leavers who demonstrate academic excellence and are enrolling for the first time at the University in any undergraduate degree. Each scholarship is valued at $10,000 per year for up to five years of study in any course. Each scholarship provides a package of support which may

include a cash incentive, optional overseas study experience (valued at $5,000), an on-campus employment opportunity and support with accommodation.

Law High Achievers Scholarship This scholarship is made available by the University's Faculty of Law to encourage high-achieving interstate students to study Law at the University of Tasmania. Valued at $10,000 (consisting of a Law Relocation Bursary valued at $7,500 and a once-off optional Federation Scholarship in Law, valued at $2,500). Eligible students will be automatically assessed for this scholarship during the University Admission process.

Contemporary Music Performance Scholarship A number of scholarships are provided by the University of Tasmania to attract the best and brightest contemporary musicians to study at undergraduate level in contemporary music performance at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music. Course fees plus a living allowance of up to $3,000 per year (the value of the living allowance will be awarded on the basis of audition/interview results) may be awarded to the successful students. Applicants will be considered on both an interview/audition and an application.

Don Kay Tasmania University Scholarship In Music The scholarship will provide HECS for one year and is available to a CSP student commencing study at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. Preference may be given to students intending to study piano and/or composition. An online application must be made.

APRA Singer-Songwriter Scholarship This scholarship pays the HECS debt in full, and is available to an interstate APRA member commencing a three-year undergraduate degree in contemporary music at the University of Tasmania's Conservatorium of Music as a singer-songwriter. Applicants will be considered on both an interview/audition and an application.

Dean’s Merit Scholarship Valued at $10,000 per year plus an additional once-off $5,000 payment for students eligible to undertake a semester of overseas exchange at one of the University’s partner institutions. Interstate students may also receive a once-off relocation assistance package. Open to CSP and international students and Year 12 school leavers receiving a tertiary entrance score, or equivalent International Baccalaureate, will be considered automatically for these scholarships.

The George Alexander Foundation Relocation And Living Support Scholarship Valued at $24,000 in total paid over the course of the degree, this scholarship is available to an Australian citizen who is commencing any full-time undergraduate course at the University of Tasmania and who must move away from home in order to attend the university. Applicants will be assessed based on their academic results, demonstration of financial need, leadership and involvement in their local community. An online application must be made.

Students who have listed a UTS course as your first UAC preference will be highly regarded. Other selection criteria include motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program, as demonstrated in the online scholarship application or as determined by UTS, and initiative in personal life, as demonstrated in the scholarship application or as determined by UTS.

Business Dean's Scholarship Valued at $30,000 over three years, this scholarship is awarded to a top CSP student who attains an ATAR of 99.50 and above, and who applies to undertake a UTS Bachelor of Business degree. This scholarship is valued at $30,000 in total. Selection is based on academic excellence at Year 12 level; demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life and motivation to succeed in the UTS Bachelor of Business degree.

Valued at $10,000 this one-off scholarship is offered to a CSP student with an ATAR of 99.50+ and enrolling in a combined Bachelor of Laws degree at UTS. Student must apply through UAC and listing this course as the first preference is strongly recommended. Applicants will also have to demonstrate initiative in personal life.

Science Dean's Scholarship CSP students attaining an ATAR of 99.50 and above are eligible to apply for this scholarship valued at $10,000. The students must apply for a science degree offered by the Faculty of Science through UAC as well as make an online application for the scholarship. Applicants will need to demonstrate their motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program, and demonstrate initiative in personal life.

Science High Achievers Scholarship CSP students attaining an ATAR of 95.00 and above and applying for a science program at UTS are eligible to apply for this scholarship, valued at $2,000 per year over three years. Selecting one of the eligible UTS Science courses as their first UAC preference will be highly regarded. Applicants will need to demonstrate their motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program, and demonstrate initiative in personal life.

Bachelor of Accounting Scholarship The Bachelor of Accounting is a co-operative education program, being a three-way partnership between the sponsor organisations, UTS and the students. Co-operative programs are awarded to CSP students with a good academic record (ATAR 95.00 but not essential), demonstrated leadership potential, and a genuine interest in accounting. Applicants will also have to demonstrate personal attributes needed to succeed both as a student and in a business career - communication skills, inter-personal skills, team-working skills, problem-solving skills, enthusiasm and dedication. All CSP students in the Bachelor of Accounting co-operative program receive a generous income tax-exempt scholarship per year for 3 years, valued at over $46,500. In addition, all students who are recruited by a sponsor organisation in their final year of study will receive a Recruitment Incentive bonus of $8,000.00 for the second half of the year. Selection is not based on ATAR only. Students will also need to submit an application and attend an interview.

Engineering Industry-Based Merit Scholarship Co-operative programs are awarded to students with a good academic record, demonstrated leadership potential, and a genuine interest in engineering. A range of companies from across the Australian Engineering Industry sponsor a number of Engineering Cooperative Scholarships. Students will also have direct access to industry sponsors and many undertake an internship with their sponsor company. Open to CSP students who attain an ATAR of 90.00, make an online application and attend an interview. Valued at $9,000 for one year. Students will also need to submit an application and attend an interview.

Bachelor of Information Technology Co-operative Scholarship Program This is a fast-track scholarship course that prepares CSP students for an exciting career in IT management. Successful applicants receive a scholarship of around $15,500 per year, to the total value of $46,500. Co-operative programs are awarded to students with a good academic record, demonstrated leadership potential, and a genuine interest in IT.
