NuMicro® Family Arm® Cortex®-M4 MCUsNuvoton provides the cutting-edge 32-bit NuMicro® M4 family powered by the Cortex®-M4F core with FPU (Floating Point Unit) function. It is specially developed to fulfill high-end digital signal control markets which demands easy-to-use microcontrollers with high performance and excellent power efficiency. The NuMicro® M4 family offers superior features and supports wide operating voltage from 2.5V to 5.5V, industrial operating temperature from -40°C to 105°C, high accuracy oscillator and high immunity (8KV ESD, 4KV EFT).

According to its applications and functionalities, the NuMicro M4 Family is further divided into different product lines:

Base Line The product line consists of cost-effective Arm® Cortex®-M4F core MCUs with uncompromised performance. Its MCUs operates at up to 72 MHz and integrates digital and analog peripherals such as UART, SPI, I²C, ADC and DAC.

USB LineThe USB line supports USB 2.0 connection and various operation modes including device mode, host mode and OTG mode. The USB 2.0 full speed/high speed OTG transceivers are also integrated. The product line includes the M482 series which supports crystal-less USB 2.0 full speed function under device mode.

CAN LineThis product line provides CAN (Controller Area Network) bus interface which can be applied to automotive, building automatic and industrial applications. The CAN interface is fully compliant with the BOSCH® CAN Specification 2.0.

Crypto Line The Crypto line supports hardware cryptography engine and random number generator. The cryptography engine efficiently accelerates the processing speed of Elliptic Curve, AES, DES, Triple DES, SHA and HMAC.

Ethernet Line The Audio Codec line provides on-chip 24-bit audio codec with 512/2048 KB Flash, 128 KB SRAM and operates at up to 100 MHz. The NUC505 series is an excellent single chip solution for a wide range of audio applications.

Audio Codec Line The LCD line supports Com/Seg LCD interface. The built-in LCD controller support resolutions from 4x20 to 6x38.

High Performance Line The High Performance line delivers powerful 32-bit NuMicro® MCU - the NuMicro M480 series. The M480 series can run up to 192 MHz and operates between 1.62V and 3.63V. It offers high-performance digital and analog peripherals and many other outstanding features such as 32 KB cache to speed up the execution from external SPI Flash, and factory pre-loaded boot loader for Secure Boot.

The NuMicro® M4 Family is ideal for industrial control systems, industrial automation, consumer products, embedded network control, energy power systems, motor control, etc.
