NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The needs for the annual scientific
conference were identified through peer
reviews, 2007 conference course
evaluations, consensus of experts and focus
groups, interviews with the members of the
society, current literature and highlights of
new techniques in urology (Robotic
Surgery).
TARGET AUDIENCE
This conference is intended for urological
surgeons, urology residents, students and
associated medical staffto include physician
assistants, nurses and medical assistants.
There will be a concurrent forum on Friday,
December 5, for urology practice
administrators and managers. Participants
will be from academic and community
urology practices throughout the Northwest.
EDUCATIONAL FORMAT
Submitted abstracts are included into
predetermined scientific sessions established
by the 2007 Program Committee and the
needs assessment process. The sessions
conclude with designated questions and
answer periods. Experts who have reviewed
the PowerPoint Presentations prior to the
conference moderate each session. There
will be short breaks lasting approximately
30 minutes, designed to provide participants
time to visit exhibits and learn about newproducts and services available to Northwest

1. Better select which patients are suitable forintravesical BCG treatment and the outcomesrelated to this treatment.
