"A newly discovered privacy bug in Apple's FaceTime software allows users to hear and see the person they are calling, without the recipient even picking up." This information first came to light on January 28th. The bug currently works on iPhones and IPads running iOS 12.1. How it works in when a call is made, the caller is able to hear the live audio on the other person's phone, even though the recipient has not accepted the call. Here is the kicker, the recipient's screen gives no indication that their conversation is being transmitted. Apple will be releasing an update soon to correct this.

Cruising Without
Insurance Or
Passport???
A 22 year old college student had a sudden case of appendicitis on a recent family trip. As a result of this, he was evacuated by the Mexican coast guard and transported to a Cancun hospital. At the hospital, the admission fee was noted as $6,000 with the total cost of surgery being $25,000. The mother noted that when the family did not have $25,000 available, her son was discharged without treatment with plans to be transferred to a community hospital. His mother stopped an ambulance waiting in the ambulance bay and her son was transferred to another private hospital. At the new hospital, the family secured the surgery for $6,000 and signed paperwork for a payment plan on the balance and the young man received his operation, recuperated and was transported home. If the family had travel insurance, the process would have been easier. Thankfully he had a passport, which made travel out of Mexico and back to the U.S., seamless.

What is a potential pitfall when taking the wait and see approach
regarding contacting a medical malpractice attorney for a medical
injury? To put the questions another way, what is something that
you should take into consideration if you are waiting to speak with
a Maryland medical malpractice attorney regarding your injury?
The reason that I am writing this Maryland medical malpractice
educational article, and posting the supporting video, is because
there still seems to be some confusion regarding this issue.
Ultimately, it is your decision as to not only should you reach out
to a medical malpractice attorney, but when you should take said
action.
MARYLAND LAW PLACES TIME RESTRICTIONS ON THESE TYPES OF CASES…
Maryland law limits the amount of time that a person has to file a personal injury law suit.
The analysis for when the clock starts to run on your case can be fact specific. As a result, if
you have specific questions regarding the facts surrounding your injury, I strongly
recommend that you speak with a Maryland attorney regarding your facts.
In general, the clock for your case will start at the time of injury, or harm. With that said,
there can be other issues which come into play as to when the injury was reasonably
discovered. Also, Maryland law gives a hard cut off time as to when the case must be filed.
Because a statute of limitation issue is so fact specific, I am not going to give a number in
this article. This is because, I do not want a reader to hold on to said number and think that
it may be the end all be all for their case and not take other important issues into
consideration. Suffice it to say, if you think that you are dealing with a statute of limitations
issue, speak with a Maryland medical malpractice attorney as soon as possible!

A POTENTIAL PITFALL WHEN TAKING THE WAIT AND SEE APPROACH…
As I stated in the above paragraph, Maryland law limits the amount
of time that you must file a medical malpractice law suit. To be
successful in these types of cases, the law says that you must have a
medical expert(s) who will give an opinion as to the standard of care,
and whether your doctor deviated from the standard of care, causing
your injury. To do this, your attorney will need the help of experts
to give the opinions.
A potential pitfall when taking the wait and see approach is that your attorney may not
have enough time to get the experts needed to prosecute the case the closer it gets to
the statute of limitations. You will not believe how many people who I talk to never give
this a thought. To them, they may as well have forever to bring the case, when in reality
this is not so.

INGREDIENTS
2 pie crusts
2 -3 chicken thighs
1 can cream of celery or cream of
potato soup
16 0z bag of frozen mixed veggies
chicken stock
water
garlic
fresh or dried herbs
salt and pepper to taste
melted butter
DIRECTIONS
Thaw pie crusts on counter
Simmer frozen veggies in a pot with enough
liquid to cover. I use 3 parts chicken stock to 1 part
water. Cook until tender. or most liquid absorbed.
Season and boil chicken thighs until "nearly"
done. let chicken cool. Preheat oven according to
pie crust directors. De-bone chicken and either
shred or cube chicken pieces. in a large bowl or
pot mix chicken with veggies and can of creamed
soup. Add your favorite seasonings. Mix everything
together. If mixture is too thick, add a spoonful or
two of the water you boiled the chicken in. If
mixture is too thin, mix a little milk with
cornstarch to thicken. Pour into crust. Take
second crust and place upside down over the pie.
Crimp the edges together. Brush crust with
melted butter. Cut a small slit in the top. Place a
strip of foil over the edges of the crust so they
don't burn as the pie bakes.
Bake for 30-40 mins or until golden brown.
Let the pie cool some before cutting.
