USSSA GREAT LAKES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Registration: In order to guarantee your team a spot in this National Championship Event, please visit www.SluggerPeoria.com, and complete the online entry process through the USSSA. All entries must be made through the website, where you will be required to submit entry and payment. Once this is complete and your State Director has approved your online entry, your team’s registration will be considered complete for this National Championship Event. Official entry and payment process must be completed no later than July 7th, 2018. Format & Rules: Teams will play a 5 G.G. consisting of 3 pool play games that will seed into a Double Elimination Championship Bracket. Teams will be seeded into pools based on their USSSA Power Ranking points. The Double Elimination Championship Bracket seeds will be based on pool play results. USSSA Fastpitch National Committee sets the format. The current edition of the official USSSA Fastpitch softball rulebook and national by-laws, shall govern all National Championship play. Note: the rulebook found online at www.USSSA.com will always supersede the latest printed version if a discrepancy is found. Rosters: All team rosters must adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the current edition of the USSSA Fastpitch playing rules and by-laws. All guardian information must be complete. All players shall have proof of age in possession of their team manager at all times, which must be verified by a government issued document that identifies the player by name, gender and date of birth.



Housing: The USSSA Great Lakes National Championships housing is being facilitated by the city of Peoria. Any questions, comments, or concerns regarding housing for the GLNC can be addressed directly through the Peoria Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. They are more than happy to assist you and your team during your stay in the Peoria Area. Please do not hesitate to reach out to their friendly and hard-working staff at any time. Spectator Admission: Weekly and daily wristbands will be used for spectator passes. These bands will be used for the duration of the event to allow entrance to LSSC fields. Save time standing in line and get your passes in advance during Opening Ceremonies in the Slugger StadiumPlex. Passes will available for purchase starting at 5:00pm. There is no admission fee for opening ceremonies.


Weekly Pass: Adult: $40 per adult (Age 13+) Child: $20 per child (Age 7-12) Children under 6 years of age are FREE

National Championship Apparel: Specialty pre-order apparel, as well as additional items for the GLNC, will be available at the LSSC throughout the tournament. Tournament Shirts can be picked up, and purchased at our Team Store. You can find our Team Store located at our Slugger Dome. During Opening Ceremonies, we encourage you to stop in to pick-up your pre-order as well as grab a weekend pass for our gates. Our Team Store will be open from 4:30pm until the conclusion of Opening Ceremonies on July 15th.

Monday, July 15 - Opening Ceremonies (Coach Details)

We will provide a copy of your official roster that exists online. You will verify your team’s info, where any changes to your roster must be made at that time. Coaches must be able to provide proof of age for players upon request (picture ID/Birth certificate)Turn in a copy of your team’s valid insurance certificate. If you have USSSA insurance, we already have a copy on file. Once your roster information and paperwork are confirmed, you will receive your commemorative Coach/Player passes as well as a commemorative gift for your week spent here at the LSSC for the USSSA Great Lakes National Championships. Player passes will only be issued to those players listed on the official USSSA Roster and verified at check-in. Up to 15 players and 3 coaches will receive tournament passes. These passes will also be good for discounts during the USSSA Appreciation Night at Northwoods Mall. These passes will include a $10 gift card to be spent at Round 1 inside Northwoods Mall! Coaches will need to provide confirmation of attendance to the USSSA Appreciation Night at Northwoods Mall for gift cards to be received.

Northwoods Mall Participating Stores: A number of stores within Northwoods Mall are offering discounts during our USSSA Appreciation Night. Skills Competition: Signups will be available at Opening Ceremonies, During the course of the day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday teams can walk into the Slugger Dome to participate in the TEAM Skill Challenges (Base running, Defensive agility, etc). Team Skills Competitions Continued: 1) "HitTrax Quality Hit Game" - HitTrax System (teams will be divided up in groups of 4) 2) "Diamond Dusters" - Home-to-Home Relay (4 team members) Store merchandise for winners! 3) "Diamond Queens" - Around-the-Horn (all 9 positions plus coach) Backpack bags for winners! HitTrax Quality Hit Game: Players, throughout the week, can enter into the HitTrax Quality Hit Game. Located in the Slugger Dome, within our inflatable batting cages, players compete against everyone in the tournament in a major league park gauged just for their size/skill. Winner(s) in each age group will receive their choice of a Louisville Slugger swag. Statistics will be posted online throughout the tournament. National Championship Merchandise: Pre-sale of National Championship T-Shirts will be offered. This is the only way to guarantee that you will receive a T-Shirt as supplies at the fields will be limited. The pre-sale information for the National Championship t-shirts will be emailed to the Team Manager on record, and will also include a cutoff date.
