Road Trip! From 9th-‐16th of March 2013, over 1000 young people will Roadtrip from all corners of the country, calling on the Government to do their fair share in the fight to end extreme poverty. In 2012, the Government broke their promise to the world's poor by cuKng almost $3 billion of promised aid. 2013 is our last big chance to hold our leaders accountable for the promises they've made under the Millennium Development Goals. The Roadtrip is bringing together over 1000 of Australia's most passionate young people who will become leaders and ambassadors for the cause. Oaktree is now taking applicaPons for ambassadors and crowd funding support for the trip. In March 2013 young people will depart from capital ciPes on Roadtrips of 80 people each. These Roadtrips will travel together through local communiPes, speaking to everyday people aRending events and spreading the message

of the Roadtrip. They will travel to Canberra and Sydney for a final celebraPon of the campaign. Our vision is to see extreme poverty ended within our lifePme. Since 1990, the world has already halved extreme poverty, and now is our chance to finish it. An anonymous donor has pledged to match the first $25,000 we crowd fund dollar-‐for-‐dollar! This means when we hit $25,000 it will immediately double to $50,000 -‐ our halfway mark!! You can be a part of it. Students get to spend their days with their chosen club learning such things as creaPve wriPng, History, Science and Art. In South Africa Oaktree’s partnership with GOLD is drawing to a close. Our relaPonship with GOLD has enabled hundreds of young South Africans to become leaders in their communiPes and educate others about the reality of HIV/ AIDS. In Papua New Guinea we are working in partnership with locally run organisaPon City Mission to directly benefit 520 people. The program provides unemployed youth with life skills, vocaPonal training to be beRer equipped to find employment. Schools 4 Schools were proud to have speaker Rumdourl Men come to talk to High School students on September 1st. Through S4S, high schools in Perth are partnered with schools in Cambodia. All year they have been fundraising for a local not-‐for-‐profit organisaPon-‐ KAPE. Rumdourl was a project manager of KAPE and came to thank the students for all the work they've done and speak about the barriers to achieving universal educaPon. The three schools in Cambodia are now fully funcPoning with libraries, computer labs, agricultural gardens and scholarships have been offered to students who would otherwise never get the chance to go to school.
